Xtandi

He is currently on a Peace 111 trial (Xofigo & Xtandi with monthly zometa) extensive bone mets, some lymph nodes, no organ involvment.

A friend has now been prescribed Lynparza for advancing PSA with the BRCA gene after Xtandi failure. Is there another source to obtain the medication from a reputable supplier, perhaps in Canada, besides the usual Medicare and retail route in the US? Thanks.

I have been on Xtandi a few months and the results are very good. I was on Lupron 10 years before it quit working. How long can I expect Xtandi to work before going to the next step?

He has stayed on xtandi throughout. Our oncologist thinks he should have his last treatment scheduled for January and review in February when he has recovered. What are your thoughts?

I was prescribed xtandi and zytiga combo. It may be short lived, but I dont care, its amazing..... some of the quru's on this forum may be able to articulate the why, all I know is I feel better than I have in two years.

In reading an article about Androgens, so I could understand how Xtandi works, I found this in that artical.... Although it’s not an androgen, someone may choose to have their SHBG levels tested if they’re worried about high androgen levels. As mentioned above, SHBG binds to testosterone.

Unfortunately, this year my PSA again began to rise so was put onto Xtandi as well as the Zoladex. My last visit with the oncologist was pleasing as the PSA has dropped. The side effects of the Zoladex and Xtandi have been moderate with the worst being fatigue, weight gain and sleep pattern.

The MO discussed the likelihood of Radium 223 for the bone metastases, some sort of chemo, if soft tissue cancer is found; and, he mentioned Xtandi. The bone metastases on my ribs, hips and sacrum are causing me enough pain to interfere with me getting to sleep right away.

Dr Z want’s to go with Lynparza but the insurance refuses because I haven’t had enough ADT yet apparently… Fortunately, they found a study… Which paired Xtandi with a PARP inhibitor of another brand (Pfizer). PSA dropped to 10 over the next four weeks then started rising again.

For a while my dad was doing pretty well, managing his stage 4 PC with Xtandi and Lupron and then August came and pretty much everything came undone. In August dad told me he was having some pain in his arm that wouldn't go away.

Hoping that the Relugilix does not cause the nasty heart and cognitive SEs I experienced previously while on Firmagon and Xtandi, but if it does, it sounds like things return to normal fairly quickly upon stopping.

Here we are again Xytiga , Xtandi And now Docetaxel have failed .. my dad only got through 5 of 6 rounds before his psa started going up. He’s at a 10 now and waiting for a new round of scans and next course of treatment . I’m trying to reassure him there is more treatment available to him.

I stopped taking Xtandi (enzalutamide) a while back and have 52 pills that I will send to someone no charge.

I am wondering if anyone has added Xtandi while undergoing chemo (taxotere)? I am doing a re-challenge (3 rounds done) with PSA holding - not going up or down. I understand Xtandi after chemo is a good option - but what about "during" to hit things hard. Thanks.

I have been on lupron and xtandi since April 2021… I was sexually active before diagnosis of stage four advanced…even though I can still get erections adt has put a downer on my sex life… Does Viagra or Cialis help in this department and does it cause any unwanted side effects…
