And now Docetaxel have failed .. my dad only got through 5 of 6 rounds before his psa started going up. He’s at a 10 now and waiting for a new round of scans and next course of treatment . I’m trying to reassure him there is more treatment available to him. We are still hopeful

I don’t believe he’s done any of those which is good news because it sounds like there are options !
Second-line chemotherapy Cabazitaxel is approved for when Docetaxel becomes ineffective. It might work for him and most report the side effects are better than Docetaxel.
I would consider Lu 177 PSMA treatment or Ac 225 combined with Lu 177 PSMA clinical trials:clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/resu...
Before doing further treatment, explore the possibility of a biopsy for histological, IHC and genetic study of the tumor. The cancer may have mutations which could make it to respond to olaparib, rucaparib, keytruda or similar or combinations of these drugs. They could also determine if there are changes into neuroendocrine PC which could be treated with Cabazitaxel and platinum compounds such as cisplatin, carboplatin, oxaliplatin, etc.
Thank you. He goes in for scans in two weeks and another meeting with his oncologist . I think they are waiting for approval for Lu 177 and hopeful we will have it here in Cleveland after the new year
