So confused...went to see a Vascular doc at a #2 clinic in the states...
He said that
Xarelto
can give a false positive for aps......so he wants me to go off
Xarelto
for 3 days and re-test. I will do this but now I am reading all these posts about how APS can go back and forth. Now what do I do?????

Xarelto or apibaxan?
if you could choose which one would you choose and why? Thank you for your comments. Yes, I know that everything must be done after discussion wid doc or other competent person.

Xarelto, need encouragement
Doctor has just prescribed 20 mg
Xarelto
daily, and it really, really scares me, although I know it is the right thing to do. Any comments and encouragement would be very welcome. Thank you, all.

Feeling dizzy and with headaches due to Afib?
I've been switched medicines several times and as of now taking
Xarelto
and diltiazem 180mg. My doctor tells me is probably not the medicines but it may be due to tension or because of Afib itself that I'm having headaches. Has anyone experienced these symptoms?

Thoughts about Xarelto and APS
Now
Xarelto
does not impact on INR, it does not thin the blood as such it just prevents clots forming. So essentially
Xarelto
does not treat other symptoms of APS, just the clot issue. Did the recent study look at such issues?

Forgot to take my Xarelto :(
Had a bit of an iffy week this week however I take my meds RELIGIOUSLY...terrified not to, but just checking my Rivaroxaban (anticoagulant) I've noticed that tonight's pill was labelled "Wednesday"...I KNOW I took one yesterday but have obviously forgotten to take it one evening since Thursday last..

Rituxan (Rituxamab) - Worth looking into with your doctor to help with APS symptoms (especially headaches)
I even tried
Xarelto
(which resulted in me having a stroke 7 months later) and Lovenox shots (same thing as Fragmin) with no luck. However, I just finished my first series of four I.V.

Taking
Xarelto
20 for a year but seem to have more joint and back pain. I took Aleve and it worked great but Dr. said don't take together because of bleeding. What can I take with
Xarelto
, Tylenol doesn't work.

Hello All - A wee update
I take Plaquinel, Mycophenalate Mofeteil and
Xarelto
. Notice no pain meds. I have a monthly massage and keep warm (cold Canadian winters are not my friend) Still struggle with fatigue but as long as I get enough sleep at night and rest when I need to so far no problems.

Hot flashes
I'm treated with
xarelto
and aspirin. I don't believe I am properly anticoagulated...I will be trying at my appointment in 10 days to get my hemotologist to switch me to warfarin. Thanks for any insight on hot flashes!

nervous about taking Rivaroxaban
dizzielizzie 1 Because of my Paroxysmal Afib and the fact that I am a woman and I am 65, I have now been prescribed the anti-coagulant
Xarelto
. I have read the huge fold out sheet of patient advice that comes with it and I am nervous about taking it.

It's been an interesting journey
I discontinued my estrogen in June of 2015 and
xarelto
4 months later. I also Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I have severe fatigue and have had extreme itching on my arms. Last week I had pain so severe I couldn't move my arm, come to find out I have a massive blood clot in my arm.

Not Happy!
I am about to start
Xarelto
but am not really happy about it. What a bind! Is there anyone out there who can give me some reassurance? I am a 68 yr old retired paramedic so I have seen a far bit of the A and E.

Any other hope for relief?
The stroke occurred when I was switched to
Xarelto
. I wouldn't recommend that to anyone after that happened. But outside of the chronic blood clots, etc., my worst symptom of the APS is the 24/7 headaches.

Taking antihistamines with AF
I take
xarelto
as an anticoagulant. My question is this. The Telfast packet says one tablet for 24 hours but I can't last that long with only one tablet before the mad itch begins again. As a possible side effect of Telfast it says possible arrhythmias.
