Has anyone considered switching from Coumadin to Xarelto? What's been your experience? (Saw some year-old posts but hope for updates.)
My hematologist is suggesting I switch to
Xarelto
but I'm nervous about it. need to make a decision next week. Has
Xarelto
been approved by the FDA for APS patents?

New helpful Rivaoxaban (Xarelto) anticoagulation alert card.
It also gives information to medics that 'INR values should not be used as they are not a dependable measure of the anticoagulant activity of Rivaoxaban (
Xarelto
)'.

Have you taken Xarelto (rivaroxaban)?
- We are also looking for someone who has previously been on aspirin or warfarin but were switched and successfully treated with

In May last year, all three drugs — dabigatran (Pradaxa), apixaban (Eliquis) and rivaroxaban (
Xarelto
) — were approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

My experience with Xarelto after Warfarin...
Just wanted to share that I have been on
Xarelto
for about 3 weeks, and either I'm having a big Lupus flare or most of my APLS symptoms have returned. I am back to sleeping 12-16 hours a day, my brain squeezies are back, my joints hurt (especially my right hip), and I'm even twitching again.

Warfarin or the new Anticoagulants Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) or Pradaxa (dabigatran)
Many of you who read my blogs know I keep banging on about your therapeutic range, which is measured in percentage of times your are within your range and The Gold Standard is 60%. At your next INR visit, why not ask your provider what your percentage is, it might surprise you. For those with excel

Interesting News and Information
I have asked my GP recently to consider whether I am suitable for one of the new anticoagulant drugs (NOACs) Dabigatran (Pradaxa) or Rivaroxaban (
Xarelto
) for my condition venous thromboembolism (VT); as I have a reaction to warfarin.

Pradaxa and Xarelto
I am currently on Pradaxa, (been lnearly 2 weeks now) and it seems to be working fairly well for me so far. My hands usually cold and very red with white fingertips are feeling very warm and toasty latey and slowly the red is fading! And I am feeling well. That is the most important thing. I haven't
