A&E fiasco, palpitations, heart attack, bigeminy beats, back home for dinner.
Hi gang, Just had to put this one down for the historical record. Friday telephone appointment with cardio rehabilitation ( I have never seen anyone since leaving cardiology ward, only phone calls) conversation as normal except I had been having isolated missed heartbeat events, maybe 3 or 4 ocassions

I'm taking pain killers using deep heat gel and also tried a tens machine but my knee still hurts. Are there any

Advice, please. My left knee has been niggling for a couple of weeks and I have tried Deep Heat and a neoprene leg support for when I'm not active. Can any of you recommend a support to wear whilst I'm running? There are lots out there, but I'm like a child in a sweet shop and can't decide. It's on the

How long did it take you to recover after heart bypass surgery?
Hi everyone I had emergency heart bypass surgery about 14 weeks ago. I have spent the “classic” 12 weeks off work, focused on recovery etc. Eating and sleeping is fine, and more or less adjusted to meds ok now. I also do the BHF cardiac rehab level 4 a few times a week, and try to walk about 5 times

Edoxaban switch
I have just had a phone call from the pharmacist at my GP surgery. Because recent blood test indicated that my kidneys are not functioning well, he is suggesting that I change from Apixaban to Edoxaban 30mg as this will ensure that there will not be an excess of anticoagulant in my body which could

Apixaban versus clopidogrel
Prior to PAF diagnosis I was taking clopidogrel, after diagnosis this was switched to apixaban. On clopidogrel I bled more when cut and bruised much more than on apixaban, is this due to apixaban working I a different way. Just wondered if the apixaban was effective in my case.

I have had a reading on my Kardia of sinus rhythm with wide QRS I was in AF and the subsequent readings confirms AF I gave me quite a scare. Should I be worried?

Heart Bypass
My partner had a quadruple bypass on the 12th March. He was home a week later, but since then he’s been having awful pain in his left shoulder and can’t sleep properly for it. Any suggestions?

I am anorexic and I weigh 40 kgs and I’m concerned I have heart failure - I have been having shortness of breath when lying down and things like that. However I’ve been to the hospital and had a chest X-ray an ecg and the doctor said my lungs are clear so I’m not sure what this is. Please help ? Thanks

Sinus arrhythmia found but is this really what I am feeling?
Hello, this may seem like an odd question, but please allow me to explain. For a couple of years now, since my hashimoto's (thyroid disease) diagnosis, I have been complaining of feeling palpitations or missed beats, skipped beats etc. I have had numerous ecg's and been in the ER on a couple of occasions

Lifelong chest aches & pains?
Hi, I'm at 14months post heart bypass and have had, given the difficulties accessing post-op rehab due to Covid, a pretty good recovery. Working hard on my fitness and my diet etc. However, I still get a considerable amount of chest discomfort. Aches, pains, numbness and tightness. Nothing overly serious

Struggling with ectopics and enlarged left ventricle
Hello, I am new to this group. I am feeling very nervous and worried as I have been struggling for sometime with ectopic beats, now been told my left ventricle is enlarged as is my heart. Hoping medication will improve things, otherwise I will be placed on the heart transplant list. I am 48 and had surgery

Can’t believe it
I had a silent heart attack last Wednesday and an angioplasty Saturday, at home now resting but it doesn’t feel like I had an attack and can’t believe it. The angioplasty seems like a bad dream. Bit uncomfortable and slight pain but surreal feeling anyone else feel or felt like this

Measuring pain
This is a question is for all the ladies who have had a heart bypass. I am frequently asked how painful the procedure was. Well I had my first child over 50 years ago ( not by Caesarian ) and if I could compare I would say child birth was by far the most painful. It is something still in my mind now
