A little advice please...!
Hi all and thanks for reading! Back in January 2019 I was prescribed PPI's for terrible reflux and right sided pain just under the part of the rib before it curves around. A month on these and I felt better, pain gone. HPylori test taken 10 days after stopping treatment and negative. Pain and reflux

Friday Rambling
Hello again all, We've arrived at the end of our first week of 2021 and almost a full week of lockdown in UK, and I hope this ramble finds you all feeling OK both physically and mentally. Covid figures are astoundingly high and it's now really common to know of a friend or relative who has fallen victim

Eustachian tube dysfunction
Does anyone have any hints or tips on how to ease this? I have to breathe through my mouth all the time if I breathe through my nose all I can hear is my own breath and it's driving me bonkers! My ears often block up too which makes hearing difficult. I have also self-diagnosed hyperacusis and tinnitus

Scientists discover how COVID-19 virus causes multiple organ failure in mice.
UCLA researchers are the first to create a version of COVID-19 in mice that shows how the disease damages organs other than the lungs. Using their model, the scientists discovered that the SARS-CoV-2 virus can shut down energy production in cells of the heart, kidneys, spleen and other organs. "This

Alcohol-free hand sanitizer and other quaternary ammonium disinfectants quickly and effectively inactivate SARS-CoV-2.
Coronaviruses are enveloped viruses that commonly cause upper respiratory tract infections in humans and animals. Four known coronaviruses cause the common cold in humans, while another three have caused deadly outbreaks in the past 20 years, including SARS-CoV-2, the agent of Coronavirus Disease 2019

Tapentadol for severe pain - any good?
I'm being moved off Buprenorphine Subs (0.2mcgs x 3 PRN daily) onto Tapentadol 50mg SR 2x daily and 50mg IR 2x PRN daily. Has anyone else made this transfer? I suffer from severe Lumbar/SI/Pelvic Pain after 3 fusions on my spine, plus Bursitis, and Cervical Spondylitis. I used to be on Fentanyl, but

Hi everyone , recently went to a new pulmonologist . In June I got Covid but I was one of the lucky ones that didn’t have to go to hospital . Since then sometimes I get SOB so they changed my Flovent to Breo . When changing inhalers are you more susceptical to getting an asthma attack or sick ? Also

Left arm BP consistently higher than right arm BP
Hello everyone, just wondered if anyone has had anything similar? A review appointment at the GCA clinic last week picked up a 20 mm Hg difference in left arm systolic pressure, compared to the right arm. Not much difference in the diastolic pressures. The doc suggested that I take my BP 3 times a day

Information processing
How do others find their condition(s) effect their ability to process information through conversation or reading? PSP Success - Complementary Therapies Rock!
My PSP was diagnosed 2018. No advice received from the medics, but I have a good GP. Immediately I started on personal research and a regime of complementary therapies (Cranial work has been brilliantly successful) plus targeted exercises (Pilates, etc), plus specific diet (organic Mediterranean),
