Simbrinza eye drops
Does anyone using Simbrinza have problems with a side effect of blurriness? I was on Xalatan for 9 years without any problems, but my ophthalmologist changed me to Simbrinza 2 months ago hoping my eye pressure would not increase so rapidly after an eye injection.

hi everyone, Thought I would give an update. I had the cryo-ablation on the 13th of May. i felt fairly uncomfortable over the first few weeks, but thanks to all the support and info on here, I have got through it without panic. the main thing is pacing myself and not overdoing it. Get enough

Hashi symptoms still or tired/dry eyes?
Hey everyone, Still on my journey to "optimal" health and lab's whilst having Hashimoto's. Diagnosed 18 month ago. I have a strange one for you, or, not so strange, right now I'm not sure. So, currently on 162.5mcg of Levo and 10 mcg of Lio. I would say symptom wise I am feeling the best I have in

accidental overdose of thyroxine
I’m on 100 mcg thyroxine and the kart prescription they only had 25 mcg so I was taking 4 tablets a day and then the recent prescription was 100 mcg. I’ve just realised today that I’ve been taking 4 100 mcg a day I think for 4 days from how many are gone. In a bit of a panic. I’ve rang 111 and they called

Nafarelin
Hi! I’m about to enter my second cycle of IVF, a frozen transfer this time. I’ve been subscribed Nafarelin nasal spray. I didn’t know a nasal spray was on the agenda (not that I’m phased!). Has anyone else had this? I googled and it’s instead of buserelin injections. Does this mean I might not have to

Bruising
I noticed someone mentioned bruising. I have hurt my right thump two weeks back cutting up veg. The whole of the thumb pad is dark mauve The pharmacist said it was a circulation problem and I bought a tube of Hirudoid cream 5 mg to put on 4 times a day. This is the first day. He knew I was on

Pegasys is applying for formal approval in MPN treatment
Dear friends, I came across a EMA document recently and found that Pegasys is applying for indication extension to PV and ET. It provides, on page 53: “Grouped application consisting of: Extension of indication to include treatment of Polycythaemia Vera (PV) and Essential thrombocytopenia (ET) for

what next?
I was diagnosed with PMR five years ago and my gp kept me on Prednisolone for two years which resulted in a catalogue of side effects including glaucoma and cataracts. My diagnosis was confirmed as RA shortly after. I have been taking methotrexate successfully since. However my condition has worsened

Flare up or just Fatigue?
I have tapered to 7.5 mg this month using Dorset Lady's table, but in the last few days I have pains around the hips which is only relieved by sitting down. I wake up around 4.30 a.m. and so have several spells of faitigue/deep sleeps in the early evening. When I am out I lean against counters

Dry eye medication
For several years since eye surgery I have been prescribed eye lubricants. The prescriptions always say Thealoz Duo Gel yet I have always been given the Thealoz Duo UD even when I questioned this several times. Recently I was given the Gel form and nothing else. Of course this is excellent at night

Hi all and merry belated Christmas So… chemo…. I was diagnosed with ET about a year ago and finally found an MPN specialist in Montreal after a few months with a hemo who, unfortunately, knew very little about ET. I should be starting Pegasys sometime in January and I have a few questions :

ThyroidDisease and Cataracts
Has anyone had any experience with developing cataracts and is there a potential link to thyroid disease? My ophthalmologist has told me my thyroid eye disease makes me a poor surgical candidate.and getting a second opinion is pretty much out of the question. I am 61 and an active sewer and the prospect

Hay fever medicines
I continue to have badly blocked ears and a runny nose for several weeks. I’ve only managed to see paramedics rather than a GP about it. I haven’t used any nasal sprays (other than saline) but would like to try anti-allergy medication such as antihistamine. Yet I’ve read that “A few common stimulating

Something I forgot to mention
I wrote about Toprol (Metoprol) a few minutes ago. I forgot to mention that I also take Flecainide, 100 mg. twice a day.
