Reoccurrence of Rectovaginal endo
I’ve had an MRI recently which shows my Rectovaginal endo has reoccurred after hysterectomy and bilateral ovary removal. My gynaecologist think the risks of further surgery may outweigh the benefits. She has treated me for years in a BSGE specialist centre and I trust her implicitly. My question is whether

Thy3a snd Thy3f -watch and wait?
I am new here and was wondering if anyone could offer advice as things seem to be moving too quick. I am female and 52. On being referring to ENT in April 2019 for a lump under chin, which turned out to be enlarged lymph, not of importance, it was discovered during ultrasound that I had “suspicious”

They will rebuild me !
Some of you may know, after a bad fall last year that resulted in my badly smashing both wrists, I’ve needed to have surgery to rebuild them. I had the surgery done in my left wrist in September and then straight into gallbladder removal at the beginning of December. I now have my date for my ankle replacement

Frustrated with my recovery....
Had a total hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo oopherectomy and excision for Stage 4 Endometriosis on August 12th 2019 and recovery after this was slow as I expected. Was 12 weeks before going back to work and went back on reduced hours. Now January and still struggling. Don’t know what’s going on inside

TPO and TG thyroid antibodies & anti depressants
Good health to all in 2020! Could someone please explain why it is important to have TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested? I finally found a decent endo. who accepts that more than TSH needs to be tested. Only he doesn’t think it necessary to check TPO & TG. He explained why at the end of a long

Questions about what happens after hysterectomy & unilateral ovary removal
Hi, Just trying to get my head round my options. I’m due to have an op to remove the endo on my bowel & will probably have a hysterectomy (due to adenomysis) and one ovary removed. I said that I’d prefer to keep my right ovary (which is healthy apparently) as I thought if I do that I might be able

Polyp removal booked
I have found a clinic that will just do a hysteroscopy/polyp removal with not seeing them for any other services. Had an initial consultation there this week, and they have booked me in for the 7th January. Great news! Still over three weeks away, so I'm going to struggle with that length of time, but

Antidepressants and PCOS
Hi, I was looking for some advice re antidepressants... in June I “admitted defeat” and went to my GP regarding anxiety and depression that was affecting my every day life and he prescribed Citalopram 20mg. I took this for two months at varying doses (30mg and 10mg) and while it helped my anxiety, it

Cholecystitus symptoms after gallbladder removal
Hey Guys, After a truly horrific year of attacks (which we have affectionaly nicknamed death pains) occurring 2-3 times a week most weeks, I finally had my gallbladder removed on the 11th November. Wile it was an unpleasant experience, my surgeon told me the op would end my suffering and I was so excited

I have had endo for many years. 5 surgeries, Mirena and 10 years of Zoladex/Tibolone. I have recently been suffering with anxiety
Depression and wondered if I am going through the “real” menopause. How will I know if I am forever in a “surgical” menopause? How will I know when to stop taking it and what will happen? Advice please.

Levothyroxine and St Johns wort
Has anyone ever tried to take St Johns wort when on Levothyroxine? Are there any adverse effects if I do so? I am currently on 50mcg Levo. If you do take it, how long do you wait after taking your levo to have the St Johns wort? Thanks, Emily
