Serum b12 V Active b12
I’ve just received my active b12 result from Medichecks. It was 63.1 yet my recent serum b12 from my GP surgery was over the top of the range. Over the years I have always had top of range serum levels . Should I supplement with vitamin b12? Thank you

Haematologist’s unsupportive B12 response
In a recent pathology test, my gastroenterologist was concerned with my low haemoglobin count and a high reticulocyte count. She mentioned that although I’m low in ferritin (40) I’m not yet needing an iron infusion just yet. My white cell count was seemingly low also and she suggested that I should get

UPDATE on Iron and Vitamin D
I just talked to my Doctor and he is putting me on 50,000 1 tablet a week vitamin D and has put me in for Iron infusion. I was surprised he said that I was iron deficient (not Anemic) but this is going in the wrong direction and is getting out of control and I need my iron to be closer to 100 (shocked

B12 injections stopped by gp after 5 years treatment on nhs
I was diagnosed with chronic b12 deficiency years ago - my GP started giving me injections every 3 months and my nurse told me that it was for life. I’ve always eaten meat my whole life - so my deficiency was not caused by diet. They have stated that my deficiency is due to malabsorption, but my intrinsic

I wonder because my sister was diagnosed with pernicious anemia years ago but now they say her b12 levels are really high normal.

Iron Results
Could someone advise on my iron blood test please? I've been trying to raise my Ferritin levels since I had a reaction to starting carbimazole and was hospitalised with agranulocytosis 2 years ago. My levels before were 70 and on release from hospital were 19. I've lost tons of hair and lots of symptoms

it’s not an area I know much about with a B12 level of 433 (187-833) would I qualify for B12 injections?

Hello everyone. Same old story. I booked my 3 monthly b12 injection I've been having for past 15 years. Gp says no more & did blood tests. FBC normal apart from low WBC 1.3. B12 high but low iron. No idea why b12 injections were started in the first place just that my level was 130. I attach his

B12 Manufacturing Process
I was reading a post about an Etsy shop offering injectable B12 doses so I decided to research where B12 is manufactured. I found this really interesting site and thought others might also find it interesting. https://quadram.ac.uk/case_studies/an-environmentally-friendly-vitamin-b12-production-method-that-makes-manufacture-more-affordable
