cardiac ablation
my cardiologist had recommended an ablation a year ago but I choose to wait. I’ve had very few episodes on Flecinide and Eliquis. Now he’s saying my heart rate is getting too low and we need to revisit having the ablation. I’m looking for feedback from those who have had the procedure.

Switching from Rivaroxaban (Xarelto) to Apixaban (Eliquis)
I am switching my DOAC from Xarelto to Eliquis, mainly for ease of compliance. My eclectic eating schedule/habits made it difficult to rigidly comply with the rather bizarre dosing regimen for Xarelto, and the morning/evening dosing of Eliquis will be much more convenient, hopefully leading to more

My Experience With WARFARIN and ELIQUIS
Warfarin for 27 months and friends noticed my coloring was pale. Nearly passed out walking to car in a large parking lot. Had lab draw blood next day, and CBC revealed RED BLOOD CELL COUNT down to 5.8. Supposed to be 13. I was bleeding internally somewhere. Hospitalized and given transfusions and an

Eliquis and CBD gummy’s
I am taking 5 mg of Eliquis two times a day. I started taking 20 mg of CBD Gummies which has helped my mood and pain immensely. I did some research and read that you should not take CBD with Eliquis as it can be very dangerous causing an overdose of Eliquis. Has anyone here tried taking CBD with Eliquis

My wife and I both got covid
Being very careful, wearing masks all the time except a few times when we went out to eat and took off only to eat. Sadly we got covid. I called my Specialist's office and was prescribed Paxlovid. Had to stop my Calquence for the 5 days while taking paxlovid and was taking 5mg Eliquis that they reduced

orthostatic hypertension - how do you deal with this?
I have ortho. hypertension and my bp drops about 20 systolic from lying down (say 120), to sitting (100) and standing 80. This effects my heart rate from low to high. When standing, I am too dizzy to walk so obviously can not get the excersize I need. Take Eliquis for AFIB. Any suggestions.

Afib and eliquis
I was diagnosed with afib two years ago, one year into retirement. It's been an experience! Am currently on eliquis after not being able to tolerate pradaxa. So far so good... Have to be careful not to gain weight. Follow a 6/18 schedule.

Still only 1 and 1 only AFIB reading since Oct, 2020
Only one finding of afib since October 2020. I bought a Kardia immediately after and check myself about 25 times a week. 73 years old and all is good. Moving forward to November of 2022, my cardio doc believes I should still take the miserable Eliquis twice daily. Eliquis pretty much makes my life a

Eliquis (apixaban)
My severe RLS has been controlled very well since starting Methadone in July. Three weeks ago I was put on Eliquis (blood thinner) due to A-fib and have since returned to RLS every night. Has anyone else experienced this possible side effect of Eliquis? I’ve been told by my doctor that it is not an RLS

Malignant Hypertension episode
Hi I’ve had PAF for around 6 years, last episode a couple of years ago. I take Eliquis twice daily, with no ill effects and bisoprolol 2.5mg daily. A week ago I had my Pfizer booster jab. This was my 4th dose and since I had mild side effects (erratic heart rate, blood pressure raised) for a week on

Post Ablation change in meds
I have/had PAF and had been taking Sotalol 120 2x daily, Diltiazem 120 1x and Eliquis before my ablation which occurred in January 2022. Since I had no further occurrences of Afib, my EP reduced the Sotalol to 80 2x in April. During my follow up visit with my EP this week he discontinued the Sotalol

3 month update post ablation and question
Since my first cyro ablation failed my dr wants to do rf ablation… or take medication which I don’t tolerate well.. considering I have had 2 cardio version and a cryo that didn’t work he thinks my afib is coming from a different area which ablation won’t help… but is willing to try again. Does this

Afib question
Hello! I have two questions. Is it safe to drive when you are in Afib? How long should you let it go on before seeking medical attention? I am currently on Eliquis 5mg twice daily. Thanks!

Can a med be cause this reaction
Hello all, I was diagnosed with Afib in July 2020. I had a cardioversion and returned to sinus rhythm. I was put on Eliquis and Diltiazem in Dec 2020. Since that time if I get hot my skin becomes very prickly like someone is snapping elastics all over my body. I then seek out a cool place quickly

Epidural Injections for Back Pain for MPN Patient
I am scheduled for an epidural Friday and have some concerns since I have PV and ET. I have stopped taking aspirin as well as Eliquis; however, I am concerned about the possible risk involved with the epidural. I have been having some back and leg pain for about a month and went to an orthopedic dr

Mayo Clinic Received a totally different approach to managing my MPN
Hi Everyone, Currently I am being treated for PCV and taking Coumadin (hx of Blood clots x2) and Besremi since June 2022 per my MPN specialist in Denver, CO. I saw a MPN specialist at the Mayo Clinic last week and he advised me that based on the WHO criteria for PCV that my MPN is unclassified.

Need for colonoscopy when taking Eliquis (I don't advise reading this while having breakfast)
Hi folks I've been on Eliquis since May. I haven't noticed any side effects , no bruising or extra bleeding . I was told to go to our GP for a general check on stools. It's really a check for colon cancer and other problems. Anyway it showed presence of blood. Our GP told me that this is probably related
