Has anyone tried Lion’s mane? It promises better focus and mood. I am on Eliquis.

I had a read about this fungus, and while it's therapeutic properties are promising, almost all of the benefits have been seen only in mice and rats so far and there has been very little research conducted on humans.

It would be interesting to hear from anyone with first hand experience of taking it.

Looking on the net I found this..."Likewise, taking lion's mane along with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs can cause blood clotting difficulties that can result in bleeding or bruising." "Fresh lion’s mane is generally well-tolerated. But there are some side effects associated with lion’s mane supplements, including abdominal discomfort, nausea, and skin rash. It may also interact with blood-clotting medications (such as warfarin) and diabetes treatments." I couldn't take it anyway as I have IBS and have to follow a low FODMAP diet and mushrooms are a high FODMAP food.

All the best.
