Bob update (ICD wound revision)
I was in hospital again yesterday. This was scheduled, following the appearance of Bob and a few friends. Bob was the pet name for a pointy lump next to my clavicle and above my ICD. He was at risk of puncturing through the skin. You can learn about Bob's appearance (or if you are a bit more hip, [i]

Low heart rate while resting
Hey guys. I'm kinda worried about my resting heart rate. If I'm sitting or laying it can go as low as 48bpm, even in sitting. My range is mostly between 48 and 56/57. As soon as I get up my heart rate also jumps quickly and sometimes I get a bit dizzy for few seconds like you would normally get when

PVCs/heightened anxiety
I've been tapering daily clonazepam after essentially a nervous breakdown in August/September of last year. Now that I'm feeling better adjusted and back at work I've been tapering really slowly (doing a cut and hold). I'm down to 3/4 of a .25 mg pill. It's day 10 of that dose down from .25 and my anxiety

PVCs at yoga
So I have panic/anxiety disorder and I get PVCs. I'm an avid yogi but I don't do hot yoga anymore because I get all weird about my heart. So I haven't gone in a long time and decided to go with a work colleague. My PVCs really started acting up so I freaked out and left mid-class. It's honestly mostly

Update on my first EP visit & recomendation
Hi guys. Just wanted to give you an update on my first visit to EP. In short, after she carefully looked at my complete documentation (afib diagnose 2 months ago) she advised me to proceed with ablation. Her main arguments are following -I'm relatively young (40) and ablation has the best outcome in

My Afib and Bisoprolol
My last post was 2 yrs ago when my AFib was ruining my quality of life.. Regular episodes and anxiety was the norm.. Fortunately by cardiac nurse seemed to read my mind during a catch up conversation and we decided the pill in the pocket 2.5 mg of bisoprolol taken when my heart misfired would be better

Post Atrial flutter
Hi me again My husband had a cardioversion on Friday. It wasn't the same as usual when he has had Arrythmia but for severe atrial flutter and it was a rushed job in A & E where he was only partially sedated so he felt it. His heart rhythm/ speed is back to normal but he feels rubbish. Normally after

Cardioversion
Have been on medication for AF for 30 yrs, with occasional paroxysmes. First on Amiodarone which kept me on NSR . As it was too toxic, my cardiologist insisted change on propanolol 2 yrs ago.But AF became permanent . Now my EP insists on cardioversion if not ablation before putting me on flecoidine

Understanding my GP's message
I am in permanent AF and taking Edoxaban, Bisoporol and Ramipril. Recently, at my GP's request I wore a 24 hour ECG monitor. Looking at the GP's referral for that on the NHS app it seems she suspected heart failure. Have just had a message from the GP which said ' 24hr ECG reported that the rhythm

24hr Holter
Hi, Recently started back on Bisoprolol for palpitations/PVCs after 7yrs off. I'm on low dose, 1.25mg but they've really calmed down what were pretty uncomfortable symptoms (3 A&E visits in one weekend!) Anyhow, have a holter monitor booked for next week and not sure whether to stop the Bisoprolol

anxiety over Afib
I guess I’m just looking for some info to put my mind at ease - I’ve had Af for 8 years (since age 35) and the stress and anxiety has been worse than the Af. How Likely am I to have a medical emergency from Af ? Could it give me a heart attack or Vfib ? I’ve had no Af since ablation but I’m starting
