Plaquenil and possible drug interaction to antibiotics
Hi! Last week I knew something else was off, but it wasn't until Friday, that I knew it was a UTI. Excruciating pain, fever, constant painful trips to the bathroom, etc. and a strip from Amazon showing leucocytes, protein and blood. So Sat. morning went to Express Care. 3 hours later (not so express

How does Digoxin work?
I’m still in hospital, where they have decided not to do a dccv and instead give me Digoxin over 24 hours. I’ve had two doses and it isn’t working yet. My heart rate is still around 120 bpm. I’m also taking flecainide 200mg and bisoprolol 5mg. The dr has said I won’t take digoxin at home. A) If the digoxin

AFIB and Covid Vaccination
I would like to know if others have had an issue with covid vaccinations and AFIB. Recently i had the first astrazenica shot and six days later I had an AFIB session lasting 4 hours and terminated utilising flecatab. In the following days i had three further AFIB sessions of much the same pattern. In

Crazy PVC when getting up from bed
Does anyone experience PVC mostly upon waking or if you quickly get up from seated position and walk? As soon as I wake up and try to get up my heart goes crazy for about 10 min then is ok. I never had this before I started metoprolol. Switched to calcium channel blocker and was still happening. I’

Problems with Digoxin
Hi everyone. I have persistent AF, awaiting a cardioversion, and have been prescribed Digoxin as well as 10mg Bisoprolol. The meds are working in as much as my heart rate has slowed down but I feel dreadful on the medication. I appreciate the Bisoprolol makes me very flat and tired most of the time

Thought it was ectopics
Hi everyone, I had an ablation in March this year for AF and after a couple of AF bouts in the 3 month blanking period it has thankfully not returned. Thing is, 2 months after the procedure I started getting daily ectopics, well I think that’s what it is. The skips and the thumping feeling in the chest

How do administration of Eligard, Lupron, and Firmagon differ? How are the shots given?
How is administration of Eligard performed? Is it different than Lupron? Is it different than Firmagon? My husband is getting his first 3 month injection of Eligard and he is wondering what to expect. He was previously getting monthly Firmagon shots and for the last four months he's been taking Orgovyx

Advice needed please …
Hi, I’m looking for some advice please. I was diagnosed with Afib in A&E after a very symptomatic episode just over 5 weeks ago. I know there are long waits everywhere at the moment but I haven’t heard anything from the hospital about the echocardiogram appointment they said I would get and my GP still

Ablation and Cardioversion
Going for cryo ablation at Barts on Tuesday and getting more stressed as it gets closer . A question is if I’m in AFIB during/after the ablation will they do cardioversion? My PAF is often short lived and I’ve never had a cardioversion . The thought of both procedures stresses me more . I’m not having

Will cardioversion end all Afib symptoms
In addition to AFib I’ve had permanent tightness and pain in chest and back, and laboured breathing for some months now. Will these symptoms go away if my cardioversion is successful?

Crispy Fried Duck........no pancakes
Afternoon all. How's it hanging? Just a post cardioversion update from Fry-day. A 2 hour delay with one zonked out lady and another elderly lady who had just come round and then asked me the time every 5 mins until she was back with us 😁. She wasn't sure whether she'd had an ablation or cardioversion

Regular and irregular reports of ECGs from PulseBit XE.
Regular and irregular reports of ECGs from PulseBit XE. I recently purchased the above heart rate monitor. It produces a 1 lead heart wave but only has a "regular" and "irregular" diagnoses, unlike the Kardia which, regrettably is not supported by AliveCor in Greece, and can name a variety of arrhythmia

Odd feeling
Does anyone experience this? Every so often (maybe once every three weeks) I’m settling down to sleep when I get a strange vibrating sort of feeling in my eyes, head and body. It’s a bit scary. It only lasts about 5-10 seconds but I lay there thinking, am I having a stroke? Heart attack? ... It’s not

Cardioversion + TEE

So here we go again…(well sort of)
So the Flutter ablation worked perfectly in 2018, save for triggering the Fibrillation. The catheter cardioversion fixed that three weeks later and then things were perfect until September 2019. Flecainide kept things completely clear until this year when I have had half a dozen short lived episodes,

AF Continues.
I had to go for a ecg 2 days ago which was about 8 weeks after my cardioversion. Today the phone conversation told me I had gone back into AF. Disappointed but to be honest not unexpected. I am one of those that do not experience any symptoms and the only way I suspected I had gone back into AF was when

Elevated heart rate.
Morning all. I have noticed my heart rate running quite fast even during the night. This is a new one for me. I was diagnosed a fib in Jan and take Verapimil and Apixaban. My question is should I try and talk to my gp (if I can) or battle on. Waiting for CV but now just getting a call in Oct. Many thanks

Finally managed to speak to my GP.
I finally managed to get through to my GP to advise her that I was really struggling with this laboured breathing and breathlessness I was experiencing on Bisoprolol 1.25mg, and that I had also developed a bit of a tickly cough. I told her I was petrified that I was in heart failure given that breathlessness

Cardioversion
Hi All, Really appreciate the advice and wisdom people have thrown my way. I’m trying to follow your advice with keeping diaries and eating healthy. But some days I haven’t recorded things or eaten as well as I should of done. I was diagnosed with AF at the beginning of July and was placed on Bisoprolol

Has any sustained vtach/cardiac arrest survivor successful at getting off meds?
About 1 month ago, I found your forum. That put an end to my afib episodes getting more frequent. I got the book the Afib cure. I changed my diet, I not only sleep better, my frequent trips to the bathroom (following colon cancer 8 years ago,) stopped! I am 57 years old, very active with a 40 resting
