22 with Paroxysmal Afib
I just need a bit of reassurance really. I was ‘diagnosed’ with paroxysmal Afib in early July in a&e, with an EKG monitor, but when I went to the doctor to discuss, he didn’t believe that I have it. Is it possible that the a&e doctor got it wrong? I have had a echo and everything looked normal as well

Post ablation for paroxsysmal AF on 25/08/21
Hi everyone, Just thought I'd share my story for some info for people of a similar age to me experiencing afib as it can be difficult to find much info from younger sufferers. I'm 35 years old and I had my first Radio frequency ablation for paroxsysmal afib on Wednesday after a good number of years

Amiodarone
I have been, for more than 2 yeas, on Flecainide (150 mg), Sotalol (80 mg) and Digoxin (187.5 mg) and had 3 cardioversions, the last one didn't work. My AF was on and off since then, and my energy deteriorated by the day. I didn't opt for and Ablation, as suggested by my Car since I'm 83 and as I heard

Cryo ablation
Hi All, After my first cryoablation for af last year my EP told me that he didn’t manage to get it all during the op as he didnt have all the equipment he needed at the time. Thankfully I’ve not had any episodes of af post ablation but do get a fluttering sensation a few times a week which can sometimes

First Surge Training And Thought I Was Going To Need The Defibrillator :)
Hi all. Downloaded the Asics Runkeeper App and thought I'd try some different training to improve speed, stamina and fitness and break up the monotony of repetition. Read lots about needing to build core strength and mix up the type of runs (as I'm mostly doing 5K's every other day). So after plugging

Has anyone experienced excruciating pain after a few weeks of starting Xofigo (Radium 223)? Started 08/04/2021. Hospitalized since Sat-8/21
Oncologist states they don’t see it is cancer related from CT Mylogram. They see degenerative disk disease which we know he has a past back injury from 1995. She states it could be from the Xofigo attacking the cancer cells. Thoughts?

Movelat cream v Edoxaban
My GP has prescribed Movelat cream for me. I am on Edoxaban 60 mg plus Bisoprolol 2.5 mg for AF. GP says it's okay to use the cream but pharmacist says it may conflict with my anticoagulants. W hat should I do. No help on the internet.

In a bit of a panic re notifying DVLA about Afib
I know this topic has been covered before and there are mixed answers! My car insurance is due for renewal shortly and the cheapest quote from the AA is £140 less than my current company (LV) who I've been with for several years and were told about my AF without any problem. I looked on a comparison

Postural AFIB
Hello there! I was wondering if any of you have ever had episodes of fibrillation and/or skipped heartbeat in certain positions. I noticed that I did when I leaned forward severely or crossed my legs and turned my head to the left. Also, I noticed the same phenomenon when my belly is bloated. Julien

Return of the Duck - Revenge of the Beak
Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears ............ not literally as that could get rather messy. I'm sure that you have all missed me, like a verruca. Apologies for my absence but its been an eventful few weeks, to say the least. On my last post a few weeks ago, I mentioned that I was a bit

Sparatic bp and hb
Crazy blood pressure and sparatic heartbeat from 60 to 110. Blood pressure at 84/62 sometimes as well as afib sometimes. It seems my problems are coming back somewhat after 3 ablations and a period of 3 yrs of very mild afib recently Although my bp has been usually at 122/78 most times. The bp is worrisome

I put up a link on anticoagulants that I found on the Medscape site. It is a really good one; actually one that doctors complete for education credits. Each of us can do it too and the information is really an eye opener. It makes one understand just how varied a doctor's advice can be. This information
