Asthma flare after covid vaccine
It could be complete coincidence, but my asthma is being an absolute pain and not responding as well as normal to
ventolin
(though interestingly is responding to extra formoterol). I am wondering if there's a link, as my asthma has otherwise been pretty good for the past few months.

so shocked at my amazing peak flow! should i call it my normal
Nurse kept saying how amazed she was thatbi improved on my peak flow after the nebulised
ventolin
. Just blew at home and its 550 and easily reproduced 😃 should i class this as my new normal. i actually feel so good, have a been a little inflamed this whole time without even realising.

Add on of Atrovent
I’ve also been told to take
ventolin
before going for my dog walk. I’ve been given antibiotics x3 daily and an antihistamine and feel as if I’m rattling 🤦🏻♀️ trying to remember which to take and when. 😳

What is it like to have your asthma properly medicated?
I must not grumble though because during this pandemic both my doctors over the telephone and my hospital in person twice have been medicating me with the maximum dosage of the:
Ventolin
(reliever) inhaler and 2x 50mcg, twice daily dosage of the: Qvar (preventer) inhaler, but since: 11th March 2021 my

Questions about Spiriva and referral
😬 My heart’s pounding a bit which I’ve noticed after taking
ventolin
and my previous inhaler which was Duoresp Spiromax (2puffs twice a day of 320/9). I’m assuming it is the Spiriva which has caused this, is this a usual side effect?

Tips for dealing with Drs who don't get peak flow is personal...
I've finally got my (re-)referral appointment tomorrow but unfortunately with the same doctor who told me I needed to reduce my meds as my peak flow was too high 🤦🏻♀️, this was despite needing
ventolin
a few times a week and having quite large daily and day to day variability in my peak flow.

Feeling bad almost all time of the day, who can relate with me?
Unfortunately
ventolin
do not totally work on me and i was also put on high ics doses and montelukast. For the moment i still feel really bad even with meds and moving my chest make my problem like 10 times worse... who is or was in my situation and can relate with me?

Needing a lot of Ventolin for mild symptoms- not unwell enough to call 999 but using up to 10 or more puffs- is this normal?
All has been well for 2 days, however on day 3 of my steroid treatment I needed to use 4 puffs of
Ventolin
at lunch time due to breathlessness. Then between 6-8pm when resting it became worse having to use
Ventolin
every half hour.

Sob and sats of 94
Hello My asthma settled recently however for the last 3 days I’ve been becoming increasingly SOB and have needed
ventolin
alongside the fostair (I use fostair 4x a day) I did my sats out of interest (tho I know these aren’t often helpful with asthma) as I feel quite ‘weird’ and they are dipping to

Any insight or advice into how long Clenil takes to work, and when to step up medication?
SoB every morning and evening and relying on
ventolin
everyday. One medical practitioner told me the clenil has not had time to kick in properly yet and I need to wait and manage this. However, My GP has said the clenil should be working by now and has said we can go to step 3 preventor-Fostair.

Am I imagining this??
I took some
Ventolin
, but the cool air in my face seems to work well with it to open up my airways. Anyway, going back to sleep. Just thought I would ask if anyone had this happen to them or am I losing my mind. lol

COPD
Anyway the last few months I started having trouble with my chest again I use
Ventolin
because I have mild asthma and since that lung infection I have been using Simbicort as a preventer.

COPD... Pulmicort/Symbicort for out of breath issues only?
If possible I'm fine with
ventolin
as I know that, so may just get the budesonide on its own (pulmicort?) rather then get symbicort as thats got formoteral in, which I believe acts the same as a reliever which isn't needed? As got
ventolin
is that right?

Advice?
I was able to get it under control with
ventolin
though. But today when I woke up I was worse. I've used my
ventolin
10+ times today and it works for a bit before I start to get short of breath again. My chest hurts like hell and I'm coughing a lot.
