What's your asthma action plan?
I've seen lots of folk posting here who have been newly diagnosed with asthma so I thought it'd be interesting for those folks if we all shared our asthma action plans so they could see what we do to stay on top of our symptoms :) My asthma type: Cough-variant with normal SATs and peak flow during exacerbations

Confused by peak flow readings
Which I really shouldn't be, goodness knows I've had a peak flow metre for long enough. But I've learned one or two things from this forum that I wasn't aware of before, so I'm wondering if you wonderful people out there can help me out. As some of you will be aware, I went down with a viral infection

So many questions-! Potential asthma diagonsis
3 years ago, I had some serious breathing problems and heart palpitations begin. They still occur today, sometimes more often than other times, but always with specific circumstances. A Chest X-Ray recently showed I have Air Trapping in my lungs, and an A&E visit saw my O2 levels briefly dropping to

So...does cannabis oil work?
Hi, i am going to let you make your own mind up about this as i know there will be some skeptics out there. Cannabis oil has been legalised in 26 states in America, with doctors able to prescribe medicinal marijuana to patients with crohns disease, cancer, epilepsy etc. etc, plus COPD. You have people

Worst things people have said/what not to say to someone with a lung condition
1. "look, you're not breathing right…iiiiiin….ouuuuut…." I know I'm not breathing right, I'm having an attack! I can't breathe! 2. "take DEEP breaths!" Again, can't breathe, so... 3. "you're just panicking!" Yep, and that's why my lungs are silent, right? 4. "oh I get a cough sometimes too" Oh poor

Posting for my Dad - Symbicort 200 Turbo Vs Fostair
My Dad was diagnosed with Asthma in 2013; he was 55. After a bad chest infection, they trialled him on Clenil and Ventolin and these were not effective. He ended up having an Out of Hours appointment and the GP put him on Symbicourt, no ventolin. He was told if he had an asthma attack, he was to call

I been thinking about my asthma symptoms for the last couple of months in preparation for my asthma review on Wednesday. I would have said my asthma symptoms were mild for over ten years and two weeks ago was my first asthma attack. Now I long back on the last couple of months I having been getting
