Mastectomy Issue
Hi, I have just had my mastectomy (3 weeks ago) and re-build, my chest is so tight, which is to be expected, but day by day is getting more and more sore. I have been told to take paracetamol and ibuprofen, but am now really sore down stairs, is this normal, assume it's as I am on constant tablets, what's

Coping With Depression and Anxiety as a Breast Cancer Patient

Mastectomy, lymph node removal stage 3 advice
Hi everyone. I had mastectomy and lymph node removal done and had swelling in my arm. Went for advice to a lymphodaema clinic and was told how to massage, exercise and was given a arm stocking to reduce the swelling. I found that keeping my weight down to a normal level and exercising helped. Also

Silicone found in lymph nodes
Hi, in March I had a lumpectomy. My lymph nodes were clear of the cancer but they found silicone granulmas in 4 out of 5 nodes. This must have come from a silicone implant on the other side ( I had a mastectomy and reconstruct in 1999 ) and this was replaced in 2014. The ultrasound confirmed numerous

How I Survive the Worst Day of the Year (Every Year)
Hello All, I don't write as much for Ravishly as I'd like--they have a big backlog, often a few months long, and my writing focus is in different places these days. I am so grateful they gave breast cancer "a voice" through my blog posts...more than a dozen of them. Here is my latest Ravishly article

vasectomy
? I'm on Cellcept which slow healing, I'm have ZERO Behect's issues. I'm very nervous to get this done, but I'm 30 and have 4 kids so that part is fine. I just don't want additional pain down there outside of healing time.

It's back, it's nothing, it's back, it's nothing
I'm nervous. There is intermittent pain in my left breast, where before there was no sensation. I had a double mastectomy back in July of 2014 for stage 1 TNBC. The pain is in the region where the tumor was. Is this phantom? Could my nerves be reconnecting? I had to beg my insurance company to be seen

Huntington's Disease, the Pope.
Alright, it isn't our disease, but like a lot of stuff I post this is tangentially related. https://www.theguardian.com/science/2017/may/27/huntingtons-disease-pope-steps-in-to-raise-awareness It all goes to show the power of a high profile acknowledgement. Akin to when Princess Diana held the hand

Rib pain and crazy looking implants after double mastectomy
I am 3 weeks post op. Had a double mastectomy and overall, am doing pretty good. I wasn't expecting my ribs to hurt so much! Is this normal? I feel like I was in car accident! It is a very weird pain. Also, my implants are so high and tight! My cleavage is at my clavicle bone :-). I feel them pulling

I may have asked this question before, but does eating soy products really matter anymore? I have TNBC, had double mastectomy, finished chemo and am on Arimidex. Not that I love soy or tofu, but so many products are made with soy derivatives. I don't eat any of the processed soy products. What about

Triple Negative Breast Cancer
I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in Jan 2016. Went through 6 cycles of chemo, radiotherapy and a mastectomy surgery. All went well and treatment was over in September 2016. I feel bloated though there is no swelling and i have recently started having blurry vision which doesn't last

Seeking Surgery & Chemo Advice Please
I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer which already spread to a lymph node. I'll have surgery (double mastectomy with no reconstruction) in a couple of weeks, followed by chemo and radiation. Because I was treated with andriamycin for soft tissue sarcoma six years ago, my chemo will instead
