Rant! Rant! Rant!
It’s hard to talk about cancer because there are so many things people do differently in treatment, so many choices we make. I don’t get offended much but someone said something today that kind of hit me the wrong way. I never understood why stage iv cancer patients were offended by those who didn’t

Well, so much for feeling normal....
Some of you may have read my long story on the Enhertu infusion. I have it in my lungs, spine and then it spread to my liver and the next treatment (Xeloda, I think) and after three months still progression. If you have the time, grab a cup of coffee and read. OR, if you are having trouble sleeping

Taking collagen
Is collagen worth taking? I have been diagnosed with osteopenia and am taking Risedronate. I am also taking Anastrozole after having a mastectomy . I take vitD and K , my diet is good and I walk every day. Just wondering if there’s anything else I can do to improve my bone health. Thanks.

Former art teacher with a passion for travel
Former art teacher. I started traveling in my fifties and it became my passion (I’ve visited 41 countries so far!) until Covid and then my stage 4 diagnosis came. Diagnosed with IDC stage 3 in 2015. My great-grandmother had breast cancer in the 1920s, and an aunt had it when she was in her mid-eighties

COPD and Radiation for Breast Cancer
I am trying to find information on the potential effects on my existing COPD if I have radiation therapy for breast cancer. I am being treated at a top cancer center in the US and they definitely promote lumpectomy plus radiation over mastectomy. I am almost 70 years old and a widow, and I really don't

Ibrance plus letrozole working
I’ve been taking Ibrance 75 mg two weeks on two weeks off for 3 1/2 years Took a while to get the Ibrance balance. I take letrozole daily. Scans taken every 4 months have shown no progression. I had a double mastectomy and bone lesions on my spine. I followed Joe Tippens protocol for 2 years. I did

Three months post surgery
I had a mastectomy three months ago. Overall it’s gone very well. However yesterday I started to feel incredibly cold and could not get warm. Took my temperature and it was 37.9. I still have some fluid around the scar but it’s manageable. However, now the fluid is firmer and it’s throbbing. It

Lymphedema after mastectomy & sentinel node biopsy
Hello,I was wondering if anyone has experienced lymphedema in their arm 1 year + after a sentinel node biopsy. I had a hysterectomy procedure yesterday and they told me I can't have IV's, blood draws or blood pressure checks in my right arm because they removed lymph nodes. I had a colonoscopy in October

A brief respite and now back with a vengeance
I suffer from restless legs syndrome and was prescribed pramipexole. I started a reduction program several months ago and by September I was down to half a tablet today. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have a mastectomy 3 moths ago. Unbeknown to me the surgery temporarily raised my ferritin

Recently Diagnosed with DCIS Breast Cancer
Hello All! I was recently diagnosed with Stage 0 Noninvasive DCIS breast cancer, my surgery is scheduled for the 29th, however, during the MRI (which the Surgeon wanted before surgery) they found something very small in the left breast, that will be biopsied on the 19th. I'm supposed to have surgery

Shaving before vasectomy
Just joined today as I am having a
vasectomy
done by a GP in a couple of weeks. Not worried about the procedure as such - I'm 51 and been meaning to get around to this for a while - but it's more about the prep.

Have the symptoms, shame the doctor didnt want to know.
I told her no as my husband recently had a
vasectomy
and the contraception I have tried made me bleed and the others I am too over weight for. The only one I haven't tried is the mirena coil and I am not keen on trying it either. Well as soon as she heard this her mind was made up.

The entire world is in an anxiety meltdown particularly in America! Hearts don't go out of rhythm for no reason
Having had 10 cardioversions and two ablations that left me a shell of my former self and medically traumatised me and damaged my heart, I implore you all to look deeper within yourself and attend to any old trauma from childhood any time in your life that has contributed to your carrying fear worry

I have been worked in a bit earlier (tomorrow!) than I expected for my mastectomy. I had a request in to speak to my rheumatologist but she was out all last week and yesterday, so her receptionist just got back to me this morning. The Dr won’t speak to me because I haven’t seen her in a year. She wants

ILC: Double Mastectomy-all breast tissue removed - Pathology showed positive margins.
My wife was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma in April. HR/PR positive (95%) Ki67-12%, HER2 1+ Negative. Oncotype test indicated or confirmed IV chemo would not be effect based of her ILC composition. Due to the size of the tumors she was put on Ibrance and Letrozole to help shrink the tumors
