I’m about to join you all on this rollercoaster (or perhaps I already have) - my husband and I are pursuing fertility treatment where we live in France and are at the point where he has had a microTESE for sperm extraction. We managed to get 6 straws which I am pleased with considering he is 20+ years post vasectomy.
I’m 38, no known issues. We are now waiting for the clinic to contact us with the next steps. Time is most definitely not on our side though as he is approaching the age where they will no longer offer fertility treatment to him (us). They set our expectation at two rounds of FET before the cut off, so the pressure is mounting.
Just wondering if anyone has any overlap with our experience and gone through the process - would be very interested to hear your experiences.

Hi Helodie, very similar situation to yours except a bit younger and my partner too but he had a vasectomy at the time of the exctraction that happened 16 years ago maybe! I got pregnant second round but sadly it was an ectopic and 2 more round after a long break before to got pregnant again(currently 23 weeks) . They said basically it was bad luck for us as I didn't have any known issue either and they managed to get 5 straws. So it can happen ! Good luck xxx
