Mastectomy distress
Had my mastectomy last week and I’m having the dressing and last drain out tomorrow. When I went for the first check up Monday, I got very upset and couldn’t look at the scar and asked for it to be recovered until tomorrow, I thought it would be fine and I’d not care about losing the breast if the cancer

Anyone else in my position or similar? 38.1st failed ICSI attempt. Never been a mum before.
His count is totally normal the has fathered two children prior to his

Anyone out there with recurrent non-metastatic breast cancer?
Hi everyone, I'm new here and I hope you can help me. I was first diagnosed in 2009 with stage 2 IDC(invasive ductal carcinoma) in my right breast. Had a lumpectomy, chemo (ACT) and 6 weeks of radiation. In March 2013, I found another lump in the same breast. Had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction

One year wait for reconstruction?
Hi, I am sure there must be a few of you out there that can answer my question:- "Why is it that some ladies can have a reconstruction at the same time as mastectomy, yet some of us have to wait a year?" Is there something that I am just not getting or being told? Take care all x

Hoping for the best.
Just three years ago, I had small stage 1 cancer followed by lumpectomy and radiation. All was done so it would not return. About six months ago, it was back and crazy. I'm now taking Ibrance and Anastrozole. It has been difficult, but fortunately, I'm tolerating the medication quite well. Now the

Great news and busy times
Sorry it has been a while since I posted but lots has been happening. On May 30 I had a bilateral mastectomy. July 8 I had to go back in because the right tissue expander had staph infection. On August 2 teachers started back to work in classrooms and kids started the 12. On Aug. 17 I got the results

Surgery one done
My husband had his gastrectomy last Thursday and came home yesterday, I’m so proud of him for how well he’s doing. My mastectomy is scheduled for next Thursday and I’m getting nervous about the surgery and leaving the family with my husband still recuperating, but can’t wait for us both to be cancer

Dbl Mastectomy
I had my double mastectomy Wed, the 4th and came home the 5th. Minimal pain, and not much drainage. Has my 1st dressing change on Friday and it doesn't look bad at all. I thought I'd react badly to it; cry, scream, yell, get angry or be mortified but I never felt any of that, instead I felt "hey, that

Lymphatic fluid/Seroma
Good morning all, Was just wondering if anyone can put my mind at rest? I had a mastectomy and full axillary lymph node clearance last week, with no drains. Although I appreciate that it is early days, I have noticed a whoosing sound (like a hot water bottle) of what I presume is lymphatic fluid/seroma

Post Vasectomy Pain
I had a
vasectomy
in 1992. Immediately I knew something wasn't correct on the right side; very painful and hot. Told it will settle! Well after years of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, a Urology Surgeon finally decided to remove the right testicle and give me a prosthesis one.

How do you cope with family indifference?
Hi my MPN family. To understand my question you will first have to understand my story. I have never been close to my siblings because of the way they treated our parents and how my parents care was left to me with no help from the others. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 and had a double

Treatment
I’m curious how many with lobular breast cancer here are on Ibrance/Letrozole or other combinations and have not had any other therapy; i.e., mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation.

Life's ups and downs
Sometimes things chug along nicely and sometimes things gum up the works so that nothing goes right. Not sure where I'm at, at the moment but things could be better. The last week in June I put my house up for sale, the 3rd of July having found a lump in my breast i went to the walk in clinic

Vasectomy
I recently had the procedure,10 days ago, and feel I've had two experiences in one. So drop your pants, lie on the table legs apart. No problem. Bit of cold spray, then injection into scrotum. Slightly painful but not too bad. Then incision, tube on right testicle pulled out and snipped.(yes you do feel

Extra cover for dental extraction
Hi. This is my first post and I need some advice. I’ve had PMR for just over three years and am currently taking 2.5mg pred. I also currently have raging tooth ache and although I am trying to deny it I’m pretty sure I am going to have to see a dentist and pretty sure they’ll want to extract it as I’
