Hi everyone, Hope you are well. I have seen a gastroenterologist for issues with swallowing. He has diagnosed the following: intermittent dysphagia. Slight incordination of motility via barium swallow. I also had a high resolution manometry. They said reassuring noromotensive lower oesopageal sphincter

Does biopsy help? Appreciate any feedback or personal experience.
Hi all, My condition in brief: 30 Y. Creatinine at 2.4 with and EGFR at 36. No symptoms. Proteinuria leak at 1g. Stage 1 hypertension. All other organ parameters are fine. As of now its CKD with unknown origin. Nephrologist suggested biopsy. I have an idea of what it is but trying to get some feedback

Calcium supplements - are they essential for PMR
I saw my GP a couple of days ago and whilst there he reviewed my Calcium/Vitamin D3 supplements. I currently take an EvercalD3 tablet twice daily, a super strength vitamin D3 +K2 tablet containing 4000 iu vitamin D3 plus a multivitamin tablet. This gives me calcium intake of 3000 mg daily and 5000

Pins and needles feeling
It all started on Tuesday. I had a bloated feeling and thought it was trapped wind? Took a Windeze and it seemed to help that feeling but then got a tingling in my face which was weird this then progressed to my shoulder's, arms and chest. It then seemed to ease and I just carried on. It was an effort

Am I getting enough calcium and should I take a supplement
I’ve done the osteoporosis.com check and it says I don’t. However, blood tests report I do get enough. Doctors have never mentioned I have a lack of calcium. I’ve bought a triple supplement that covers calcium, K2 and D vitamins. I have yet to start taking. If you have too much calcium it’s also not

Can low weight take a toll on Dexa results?
I've recently heard and read lots of conversations regarding DEXA results and low weight, I was diagnosed with osteopenia at the age of 31 (a year after my pregnancy) my height is 160cm my weight used to be 49 kg. No underlying health reasons were found except extremely low D vit and calcium levels

Urine Calcium Test tips?
As my GP has me down as a hypochondriac malingerer I need some evidence to force testing of calcium properly. I can’t afford a £150 6 hour round trip London clinic test so some internet research led me to a £25 set of 10 dipsticks. I’m ready for the ‘waste of time’ responses and see an endo responses

MRI all clear ‘normal’
Had a classic ‘normal’ from the ENT specialist today. MRI scan of nodules and adenomas in thyroid and close to parathyroid. ENT: Scan is normal, PTH is normal. Tells me what parathyroids are and what they do. Me: yeah I’ve watched the videos of the clinic in Florida, they say you can’t tell if they

Hyperparathyroidism
Hi there! I have been diagnosed as having possible primary hyperparathyroidism. I am a shocked that there is not a group for this disease. Can anyone help with this? So many people think I have something wrong with my thyroid when I say I have it, when in fact it is to do with the parathyroid glands
