I've recently heard and read lots of conversations regarding DEXA results and low weight, I was diagnosed with osteopenia at the age of 31 (a year after my pregnancy) my height is 160cm my weight used to be 49 kg. No underlying health reasons were found except extremely low D vit and calcium levels back in those days. But as time goes on I keep on reading about low weight-related wrong or slightly wrong DEXA results. I have been on Calcium, Vit D supplements for more than 7 years now, but my t-scores don't tend to change. This year while starting a professional workout programme I lost a bit of belly and body fat which resulted in the loss of 3 more kilograms. So now it's the time for my next DEXA and I am a bit afraid to go and get checked.
Any information on low body weight and low bone density?
P.S. Meanwhile I want to mention that I've had gastritis since the age of 13 and I constantly treat this with medications. Also, I have some lactose intolerance, which is a second type that becomes symptomatic after the 30s. Now I am perimenopausal, my AMH levels are below 0.5 ( the gyn told me it was lower than the average 37yo, he said I'm gonna have menopause in approx 1-2 years).
For reference, my T scores last year were -.1.1 and -1 for L2, L3 and L4 and for the left hip -1.2.
