Shingles vaccination
Have any of you under 70 year olds in the UK managed to get a shingles
vaccination
. Two people I know have suffered shingles in the eye, head, face recently. Very unpleasant and painful several weeks later.

Theoretical question regarding COVID vaccine and treatment of transient hypothyroidism.
I’ve been looking into the possible causes of my hypothyroidism and there are many research papers on Covid
vaccination
causing transient thyroiditis.

Herpes Zoster vaccination OK for me?
I've been recommended by the health board to have the Herpes Zoster
vaccination
prior to starting the biologic jabs. I recall that Zostavax , because it is a live vaccine, is not recommended, but Shingrix is OK. Is Zostavax the same as the Herpes Zoster? I would be grateful for advice. Thank you.

Covid jab during a diverticulitis flare with some PMR stiffness.
Would it be sensible to postpone the
vaccination
? haven’t experienced ill effects from my previous vaccines. I have been waiting a few weeks for this jab. Could Pred sick day rules dosing help. I am slow tapering to 4.5 mgs from 5 mgs.

Am I immunosuppressed on 2mg pred?
I’ve just had my third letter from the NHS inviting me to book a Covid
vaccination
- which I’d happily do, but at 72 (nearly 73) years old I’m under 75, and I’m pretty sure my pred dosage is too low. This time last year I was nearly turned away on 3mg.

Is it safe to have another Covid vaccination?
A month after having my 4th Covid
vaccination
& a flu jab in September ‘22 I was diagnosed with PMR - coincidence probably? Anyway, I’ve received my invite for a 5th Covid jab ‘as my immune system is compromised’.

What would you do??
My wife's niece who lives in the northern part of Alberta is coming too Ontario for the months of August and September. She has asked to stay with us as we are the closest to where her treatment will be. It will be just her and her husband. My quandary is that both have never had any covid vaccinations

Covid!!!!
Hubby and I were both enjoying a long overdue week in the sunshine - 4 days into the holiday hubby developed a sore throat and a cough, and a few shivers. Temperature ok… Roll forward 2 days and my AF was kicking off in spite of medication. Home today and both of us tested positive for Covid. Fortunately

Covid Vax and age
I’m in the US and have lupus and many other disqualifying illnesses 😊. I just read a thread in which folks thought their PMR began with Covid jabs. After 3 Moderna, and 3 bouts of Covid I don’t think I want to get vaccinated again. But then there’s flirt. I have 2 grandchildren ages 5 and 4 with long

Evusheld still works for hematological disorders

Headaches / update, also Spring Covid Vaccine update.
I was grateful for everyone’s’ replies to my recent post and I telephoned my Haematologist who advised a blood test and to see a doctor as soon as possible If I couldn’t see my GP the Haematologist said they’d fit me in at the hospital clinic. However, I had a full blood test that day at my G.P’s and

I feel like my life imploded
Life has been a rollercoaster. I have barely been able to get out of bed. My meds quit working months ago. My veins quit cooperating so they've been using the veins in my hands before they decide to put a port in me- Which I am not looking forward to. I have done everything they've said to avoid it,

Feeling rubbish after Covid booster!
Had the booster yesterday….Moderna Spikevax…and the nurse said it was likely that I would feel rubbish today. She was correct, unfortunately! I started feeling tired and cold last night, aching all night and aching in joints and muscles now. At least I don’t have the awful headache that I have had
