Vitamin B2
Hi everyone, I suffer from severe and frequent migraines, and although I take Sumatriptan when I get them, which seems to work well, I have also heard of taking high dose Vitamin B2 (400mg daily) which can prevent them. I don't know if it's safe to take with Urso, as I read somewhere it can reduce the

constipation and PBC
Hi everybody, Im really in a fix - I have really hard stools and although I want to go I cant. What does anyone else take? Could it be varices? Ive tried the usual and nothing works. I even stopped taking Urso to see if that was causing it. But No. I know its an unsavoury problem to talk about but

Diet advice please
Morning all I have had PBC for 8 years - well managed with urso, I also have fatty liver. I am overweight and have decided the time to address this is now! So - I have heard with a liver problem you should have carbs in your diet - but I love carbs a bit too much and would rather leave them out - does

Should I start URSO?
Hi there, I was diagnosed with PBC in 2010, following the birth of my first son. I had no symptoms except high LFT levels, which returned to normal about 8 months later. LFT's have then been consistently normal until birth of my second son in Nov 2014, where they spiked for about 3 months. LFT's have

Pain
Does anyone experience liver pain? If so, where? I'm having some mid-back pain pain on the right side and I'm trying to determine whether or not it's PBC related or maybe just muscle strain or a spine issue. I was diagnosed with liver bx in 2008, Stage 2... after elevated LFTs, +AMA, etc. I have taken

Is this right??
I am trying to create a progression map in my head... So I'm going to need your advice here... The bile ducts which are blocked cannot be treated via ERCP or any other procedure so will be getting worse depending on the effect of the Urso drug. The Doctor said something about managing symptoms - this

diagnosed at same time as polymyalgia, consultant didn't prescribe anything, am concerned. can you help?
Hi, I was diagnosed last September and it was found when they were investigating what turned out to be polymyalgia Rheumatica. I went to Liver specialist ( privately for speed) but to be honest was in state of shock and didn't really ask questions as I was trying to deal with the polymyalgia symptoms

Urso
Hello, My mother was diagnosed with PBC 2 years ago. She has been taking Urso for about a year now: 3 capsules before bed (she is about 90 kg). Her bilirubin is still around 35-40 but the doctor says that it would probably stay that way. AST/ALT/GGT have all come down. How long is she supposed to

GP's ignorance
A couple of months ago I posted that I had been diagnosed with PBC in 1999 via having elevated AMAs, but have since been in the care of my GP . During that time I have had no treatment whatsoever , despite steadily worsening LFTs, with considerably raised Alk Phos and GGT and symptoms of intense itching
