Primary biliary cirrhosis
I was told I have Primary biliary cirrhosis in June 2015 and prescribed ursofalk 500 twice a day. I am struggling to take the full amount because of the side effects, ie nausea, bloating, etc. GP suggested halving the dose and build up gradually. today I have only taken 250 dose and now have indigestion

Hot, red, itchy palms at a flare.
I know lots of you have the awful itching all over. I am lucky it is not too troublesome but when the biliary pain is surfacing badly again I get really hot, blotchy red itchy palms and sometimes soles of feet also. I am on five 250mg Ursofalk a day and also prednisalone and am due a top up steroid injection

The good news!
This is the first time i am writing here. My mother was diagnosed with PBC over a decade ago. She was not properly medicated and followed so in 2012 we were shocked when she was diagnosed with ruptured varices and AIH,along with PBC,and encephalopathy and nh4 levels got up to 70. She merely survived

Gaining weight
It might just be a coincidence but since starting Ursofalk two years ago I've slowly put on weight. A pound here and a pound there until its two stone and climbing. My diets the same, my exercise is the same albeit it's next to nothing but I've never been one for all that running around. Does anyone

cross over liver diseases
hi all, I have been diagnosed with both anti mitochondrial antibodies (AMA) (primary biliary cirrhosis) and anti smooth muscle (ASM) (autoimmune hepatitis).
