Advice required please
Hi, hoping someone here can help/advise. I was diagnosed with PBC 18 months ago and thankfully I have responded to Urso Acid. From the start I was on Ursofalk but this month the prescription I have just collected is Cholurso. Are they all the same and it’s just a generic name from a manufacturer?

Creatine
I am on Ursofalk and very well fortunately. I take Bezafibrate for itch (life saver). I have embark on a fitness journey of Crossfit and after 12 months wish to improve even more. I am advised by my coach to take Creatine and that this is natural and improves performance and muscle recovery. Anyone

Ursofalk
Years ago I had generic Urso and was quite poorly. I changed to Ursofalk and have been happy with it for over 20 years. Today the generic was dispensed and I was told it was the same and cheaper and with the state the NHS was in I should have it. I have a few other problems at the moment and the idea

Ursofalk v Cholurso
I’ve just collected my prescription and I’ve been given Cholurso. I’ve been successfully on Ursofalk since diagnosis in 2014. The active ingredients are the same but the tablet core and coating are different. Has anyone else changed manufacturers? Any issues with the new formulation?

Side effects of Ursofalk
I’ve been recently diagnosed with PBC after positive AMA and liver biopsy. My LFT’s are all in normal range except slightly elevated GGT. I started on 500mg of Ursofalk taken at night. After a week I started experiencing severe pain on my right hand side. I called my gastroenterologist and he told me

Back to diagnosed!
Now after about more than two years, at last back to officially diagnosed with PBC but no medications fore me since I get very bad rashes from Ursofalk. It is somehow comforting to know even without medications. Hoping for all to be doing well and your medications are working for you.

Newly diagnosed
I was just diagnosed with PBC. I don’t really know anything about the disease except what I’ve read on the internet and what my doctor told me. My doctor suggested that talking to others who understand would be healthy for me. I started medication at the beginning of December 2019- I was on ursofalk

Generic ursodeoxycholic acid
Hi, when I went to pick up my prescription this week, I checked it to make sure it was correct and saw that it wasn't the normal Ursoflak. I asked the pharmacist why there was a generic one instead of Ursofalk and she told me the doctors have told them to give out generic medicine unless otherwise

Good new
My GP called to tell me although my ALT is still raised it has dropped 10 + points in a month after steadily rising over the last 12 months the only thing I have done differently over the last 6 weeks is to take Ursofalk instead of the cheaper generic version although the drug is the same as in Ursofalk

Itching
I haven't been on this site for some time, so please forgive me if you've heard this all before. I was diagnosed in 2011 as having PBC, but I was itching constantly from about 2008. I was put on Ursofalk, which relieved a little, but not much, of the itching. I was happily taking my Ursofalk until

I have AIH (2017) & PSC (2005) with Crohn’s disease (1998) and not in a good way this year with the liver.
