My GP called to tell me although my ALT is still raised it has dropped 10 + points in a month after steadily rising over the last 12 months the only thing I have done differently over the last 6 weeks is to take Ursofalk instead of the cheaper generic version although the drug is the same as in Ursofalk and I’m told repeatedly there is no difference I wonder if anyone else has come across this.

Hi, I haven't noticed a change in my numbers based on brand of URSO...but I have absolutely had more indigestion, nausea reaction to certain generic brands ( must be the fillers used in the different capsule

Maybe the generic you had wasn't as "potent" as the URSOFALK. Whatever the difference, I am very glad for you to have the reduction.!

I am happy that my level dropped and as my GP said “whatever I have been doing over the last month since my last bloods keep doing “ and the only thing that has changed was taking original Ursofalk thus my post. But as we PBCers know there doesn’t seem to be a straight forward reasoning for this condition. Clutching at straws to get Ursofalk rather than a generic brand. Will see next bloods
