Anybody feel really sick taking Ursodeoxycholic?
I am advised to take
Urso
300mg 3 times per day but it makes me feel really sick.

Had the appointment now
I am also going to be given
URSO
, I had to push this a bit to be honest so I stressed the pbc foundation's desire to see
URSO
prescribed straight away and got it. I am also going to have a range of other tests too to rule out coeliac disease and check whether I am absorbing vitamins etc.

What are your experiences of blood tests when first put on URSO? My GP says I don't need any until I see my consultant at end of February?

I was diagnosed with PBC some eight weeks ago so finding this Forum very interesting.
Urso
has helped slightly with the dry mouth situation but I am wondering whether this can be attributed to PBC. I have had this dry mouth situation for some eighteen months prior to diagnoses of PBC and although
Urso
has alleviated the problem slightly it is still very much there.

I have PBC. A trusted naturopath prescribed supplements. My GP is against .Liver specialist ambivalent. Im stuck in the middle. Advice pls
My GP says it might interfere with
Urso
. My liver specialist wrote down what was prescribed but really wasn't interested- too busy to think about it I suspect....but now what????

Diagnosed in June - update
I have been on various supplements from time to time and calcium & iron all the time as well as
Urso
& Steroids. The jaundice is nearly cleared up, my skin is back to normal colour, my eyes are almost clear. I've had bloods done on average every two weeks since getting out of hospital.

Just Diagnosed
I have been on
Urso
since the Biopsy 2 months ago but my GP has not offered any other treatment or advice. I will not know until next week when I see the specialist how progressed it is.

Fatigue. Why are some days better than others? Is this normal?
Also, I'm on prednisone, cellcept and
urso
- can any of these drugs make you feel fatigued? Thanks! Karen

Has anyone who had abnormal lft,s when diagnosed with pbc had normal lfts since starting urso?
My lft's were very abnormal since the year before being diagnosed with pbc and despite being on
urso
more or less since then, 10yrs ago now, have never had noramal lfts and ust wondered if this applies to many pbc sufferers and if I should perhaps discuss stopping the
urso
with my consultant.

PBC/AIH, early stage of fibrosis confused.
He has reduced my
urso
, because I was feeling really sick, gums were swelling and put half a stone on. He said if my bloods are still raised next time I have them checked in six weeks, he would advise me to go on steroids. Really not sure what this all means to be honest.
