PBC/AIH overlap new diagnosis don’t know what to expect
Have since had fibroscan and further bloods and been prescribed
URSO
. I now haven’t heard anything further from hospital and don’t know result of fibroscan . I have never had a face to face consultation due to COVID. Just one phone call which was a blur and a copy of letter sent to GP.

ALK PHOS keeps going up
I started on
URSO
right away. 1000mg a day (500 mg twice a day). ALK PHOS started steadily coming down. A year ago it was down to 116, which was the borderline with the high limit of the range.

Pbc symptoms or something else??
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with pbc about ten years ago and I was taken off
urso
about twelve months ago because it gave me terrible stomach problems, much better now I'm off it.

Ocaliva
Initially responded to
Urso
but it did stop being effective. I had another liver biopsy this past November and currently at stage 2 PBC. I am now on Ocaliva. I did not want to take this drug prefer a safer drug that has been around longer.

Itching!
I take
urso
. I have been experiencing itching but wasn’t sure if it was caused by PBC or our climate. The itching comes & goes and can be in many different body areas at a time. Is this what most have experienced with itching?

Psoriasis of skin
I have been put on
urso
meds to see if any changes. I also have my 6 month scan in 2 weeks just for the liver and more blood taken. I know I have to be patient but it's just wanting to know. And to also know if this contributed to my hospital stay.

I was put on
URSO
and felt worse so stopped taking them which I told my consultant and he said we could do a trial of leaving off the
URSO
and try and lose weight and do monthly bloods and see what happens. ( my weight had increased quickly) so 4 months later my weight has stayed the same dispite really

Pbc and Australia
I am on trial at QE and wondered if anyone knew of some sort of reciprocal arrangement in AU otherwise the cost of
Urso
and Bezafibrate is too high for me to pay if had to self fund.... Any info would be greatly appreciated

Fibroscan at last
Hoping next years scan will be better now I’m taking
Urso
. It’s taken a long time to get diagnosed and I want to say a big thanks to my rheumatologist for that light bulb moment that led to diagnosis.
