Follow up after Osteoporosis diagnosis - Vit K3
A DEXA scan three weeks ago showed osteoporosis in one neck of femur and L1-L2 spine. The GP called me in for a blood test and I went yesterday to discuss the results. Meanwhile I bought the book recommended on here, Bones' by Lara Pizzorno. According to the chapter on nutrition intake of Ca, vit D3

Comments please on recent blood tests. Thank you very much
Hello everyone, I did some blood tests this week, and here are the readings. I' m on 75mcg thyroxine a day, and take supplements for B12, vitamin D&K2. I have been on T4 for about 3 years. I've been on higher doses of T4 (up to 150mcg) but it only lowered my TSH without making a significant difference

Should I add in T3 and where do I source it ?
I have been panhypopituitary ( 27 yrs) due to a pituitary tumour . I replace all pituitary hormone including levothyroxine as I don’t make TSH . My endo team only check T4 which is always running at the top of the normal range . At my last check I was asked to reduce my dose as it was about 2 points

I don't understand my goiter
Hello, 33 year old male with goiter since he was about 20, had two ultrasounds, blood tests, tried many things: - Very good balance sheets: TSH within the optimal standards, T3 and T4 within the standards, lnferior Anti TPO - Perfect blood test for the rest (CRP etc...) - No hypothyroidism - No hyperthyroidism

Can you take an iron supplement for a short time without gp prescription?
Hi My last Ferritin result was 64 (30-150) I have read that Ferritin better to be at least 80 to help thyroid hormones work. I have lingering fatigue, terrible hair and a couple of other things. I read that the hair thing can also be low ferritin? I'm taking vit d and b complex. There's no way on this

B-12 is Low (398), Folate is High, HCY is 55.6, uMMA is 1.7 , vitamin D and C and Magnesium are Low, all B vitamins are low.
Why is the GP not taking my labs seriously, I've been taking methylcobalamin tablets for a year and just began 5-MTHF because of Folate Deficiency found in my DNA, GP declined to do a MMA Blood serum test, I have been allergic to milk and beef since birth, peanuts followed with life threatening allergies

New blood test results
Hi I have untreated hypothyroidism/hashimoto's, I was diagnosed about a year ago, but had symptoms - particularly 'hyper' ones for many years prior. I have been tested for Celiac and was negative, however since being on this forum, I have discovered the painful rash on my scalp that was attributed

Shall I stop B12 now?
I am finally feeling much better than I have in a long time, so thanks everyone for your posts and advice that i have been reading for a long time now. I've started Iron (ferrous sulphate) since 11 October, prescription was for 3/4 months so i assume it takes a long time to build up? Also added a lot
