Sent recent MMH to GP
My results demonstrate very poor T3 conversion +now await to see if she will agree to blood tests for vit levels for Vit D, B12, ferritin etc. May I ask, if she believes these are 'within range' (that's if she agrees to the blood tests), what can I do to improve these levels? Presently I take D3/K2+B12

Hi Everyone. I posted a long while back, but I'm looking for some advice again & would really appreciate your input. I'm feeling a bit lost & don't know what to do. I'll try my best to share my story here. I was diagnosed with Behçet’s in 2018, which took 5 years in itself. It started with my experiencing

Hashimoto to Graves
Hi All, I have been lurking as a member for >8years following a diagnosis of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I have been managed with varying doses of levothyroxine, follow a gluten-free diet and supplement with B12, Fe and Vit D oral sprays. Having gained weight during Covid, I decided to make a conscious

kidney stones??
for the last week or so I have been suffering with intermittent severe sharp pains in the area of my right kidney. No warning and happens around 5 to 10 times each day. Never while I’m lying down, sometimes when I stand up or turn while sitting and sometime when I’m standing and bend. It’s very painful

Rawr!
I don't know what else to say, laughing. Insert big fat sigh as well. I have zero understanding why my labs continue to be so off. The endocrinologist is going to accuse me of non-compliance yet again (I will go NOPE, NOPE & NOPE.) I take those little buggers in the middle of the night like a champ.

I have had no more luck with seeing the drs since I posted my last results. I’m going on holiday soon so will ask to be retested again when I come back. Just wanted a little advice as to vitamins. I take no supplements at the moment and dud but some but then I read I shouldn’t be taking them I think

Vitamin D - GP said no longer needed
My 94 year old mother, who never goes out or sees the sun has been told by her GP in an email that "in accordance with local guidelines she no longer needs vitamin D and her prescription is being cancelled" and apparently once you have had a course of vit D you should not need it again! She has been

Hi everyone. I recently had an X-ray on my hip as I am having hip pain which causes my leg to give way when I transfer from my wheelchair. I have MS and GCA. The result of the X-ray was Osteoarthritis and “probable demineralization.” So when I saw my rheumatologist today I asked if I should have a DEXA
