for the last week or so I have been suffering with intermittent severe sharp pains in the area of my right kidney. No warning and happens around 5 to 10 times each day. Never while I’m lying down, sometimes when I stand up or turn while sitting and sometime when I’m standing and bend. It’s very painful and lasts a minute or so.
On looking these symptoms up, it routinely comes up with kidney stones. I have no fever, no blood in my urine and no discolouration in my urine or unusual odour to it.
Can the Alendronic Acid and/or the Vitamin D I’m taking be causing or contributing to this?
Online suggestions for dealing with kidney stones include apple cider vinegar (diluted) with lemon juice and olive oil, with a teaspoon of honey.
Your opinions/advice appreciated.

What exactly is the olive oil supposed to do? And if the acids are supposed to dissolve them - think how much cheaper for the NHS than a lithotripsy machine!
I think a query of the GP - it could well be muscular.
Get your GP to schedule an x-ray and lab tests. I've had kidney stones without any symptoms at all until they hit a wall, or grow so large that only a surgical procedure will remove them.
If you do have a kidney stone, this isn't something to fool around with, or think you can fix on your own.
My advice would surely be to contact your doctor. Definitely cannot diagnose kidney stones over the internet and if your body decides to pass them you will wish you call the doctor!! OUCH! The proper testing will be able to tell you right away if you have gravel or stones. They may be able to pulverize them with a laser, but you really do need to find out. Good luck
Hi Thiago. I think that I agree with the others. You must seek medical advice before trying something that Trump might suggest - shades of ingesting bleach to cure COVID 😵💫. Although nowhere near as dangerous!
I am in the middle of acute cholecystitus with gallstones. I had to stay in hospital for 7 days take antibiotics and only water(clear fluid only diet). You should see a doctor before your gallbladder gets inflamed.
