I had a novasure 9 years ago. Very successful results. Now I’m on HRT and utrogestan isn’t agreeing with me. Can I have the mirena coil?

Natural FET possibly cancelled
I had a failed fresh transfer at the beginning of June. The plan was made to try for a natural modified FET this month as my cycles are regular and the risk of prenatal hypertension with a hormone FET was not ideal for me. I had my day 10 scan on Thurs and my dominant follicle was already 14.5mm but

SIB/Flame Protocol
The RO recommends Simultaneous Integrated Boost (SIB) as part of my treatment. PSA was 19.76 (4/2023), then 21.78 (5/2023 to confirm initial PSA). He is concerned that the PSA does not match the Gleason score (4+3, grade 3) as PSA has surpassed 20. Multiplanar MRI and PSMA PET indicated no metastasis

Apologies in advance for the long post After a bit of a battle with Rheumatology I had a Pet scan back in February that was suggestive of mild PMR They had previously diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia at the age of 51 as I was far to young for PMR and my blood work was unremarkable I was given 15mg of Pred

Tasigna off label for parkinson's disease. What happens when the smallest kid on the block gets run out of town. Time for a vote.
Hello People With Parkinson's (PWP). I started this post two weeks ago. It wasn't worth the effort so I deleted it. I was hurting at the tim, my levodopa tank was running on fumes. I reminded myself that if I couldn't be cured I would try to make it easier for the next person. I am in my

Radiation for Salvage Treatment
I am about to start salvage treatment after a failed surgery and a rising PSA value of 0.1. However, I would like to know if weeks of external radiation with ADT, is the best treatment option here. The idea of blindly radiating pelvic area with a re-recurrence a few years later does not appeal to me.

Supraphysiological Androgens [SPA] Promote Tumor Suppressive Activity of the AR Through cMYC Repression and Recruitment of the DREAM Complex
New study [1]. I have struggled to understand how Denmeade’s BAT (Bipolar Androgen Therapy) depends on supraphysiological levels of androgen (testosterone = ~2,000 ng/dL), considering that Morgentaler’s saturation model has it that androgen receptors [ARs] have all the testosterone they can use at

So I had my blood results back and the long and the short of it is that I have certain antibodies which means I have an autoimmune disease -an antisynthetase syndrome which has lung disease and skin problems, arthritis as part of it . I don’t have muscle weakness, or raynaulds or sun sensitivity but must

Vagifem causing flare ups?
I've had a hysterectomy and excision and am currently in surgical menopause, about a year ago started with a return of pain/symptoms. MRI earlier this year showed what seems to be the remains of my RV nodule growing about a cm deep into the rectal wall, plus another nodule elsewhere on the bowel. I've

Update on my father
I just wanted to post a quick update on my father. He has metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer. He’s been on ADT - Eligard shots every 3 months and prednisone + zytiga everyday. It’s challenging as I work with him and see all the ins and outs of his behaviour while on those meds. He remains

Met with Radiation Oncologist
Met with radiation oncologist today. His recommendation was Cyberknife, no ADT. He did say that if I felt more comfortable with surgery that there was an "amazing" surgeon within 100 miles that he would recommend. I liked the guy, he has been doing Cyberknife for years and felt that with a co-existing

Firmagon vs Lupron vs Orgovyxx
Is there any difference in cost/effectiveness? My urologist wanted me to start hormone therapy with Firmagon, but my radiation oncologist wanted me to go on Orgovyxx instead...any thoughts? Thank you!
