Estrogens and Castrate/Treatment Resistance?
Has anyone using estrogens (estradiol) as the primary agent of ADT (androgen deprivation therapy) had their prostate cancer become resistant (androgen independent) to the treatment? I also do not know of a single instance of any man using TDE as the primary agent of ADT (which I have been lobbying my

Exercise making it worse?
Hi everyone, I have a question about exercise and endo. So basically I've been pretty much bedbound all of last year with rare weeks of being able to function, but lately I've experience a good couple of months of feeling better and being able to live! (Don't get me wrong still in pain but manageable

Hot flushes
Hello I’m on week 4 of daily pred (20mg), 30mg lanzaprozole, 70mg alendronic acid (weekly not daily). I’ve suddenly started having horrendous hot flushes - mainly at night but yesterday evening had a horrible sweaty and ill feeling 30 mins. Very reminiscent of my early menopause days pre HRT. I have

Castrate Resistant
I know that patients who were started at beginning with combo of, say, Lupron plus abiraterone acetate are declared castrate resistant when PSA rises in certain ways and/or progression is shown on scans. However, for someone like me, who's been on Lupron only since diagnosis, am I not castrate resistant

Should I do chemotherapy?
New here. I am 81 and was diagnosed last month with PCa metastatic to a few bones. Gleason 9. PSA 21 at diagnosis. Have been put on orgovyx and xtandi. Chemo was not mentioned. Reading some posts here I wonder if chemo would be an important option for me ? I will turn 82 In a few

Opinions / Evidence on Natural Modified FET
Hi lovely ladies and gents, I had a second consultation with my clinic consultant today about next steps and i fear im loosing trust. You’d hope with the amount of money you pay care would be more person centred although i feel its not … anyway. 2 recent failed FET on standard HRT protocol. I have

When to Commence ADT and/or Androgen Blocking Therapy?
Greetings All - New to this forum but have followed the Healing Well PC forum since beginning treatment in 2018 and later began to follow Prostate Cancer News, Reviews and Views which referenced this forum. Hashimoto's blood test and cortisol tests
I have been asked by my GP Surgery to provide them with the list of blood tests I believe are correct for a patient with Hashimoto's. I don't seem to be able to find it. Would someone be kind enough to show me where I may find it please? Is it the same as under active blood test or are there 'extras'

Hi everyone. Just looking for abit of advice. I’ve been on prostap injections for almost 4 years now. I have stage 4, had over 9 surgeries for endometriosis over the last 9 years and the only thing that has ever controlled my endo symptoms and given me a lease of life has been the prostap injections

Does orgasm return post-ADT
I’m into my third month of ADT and have completely lost the ability to orgasm. I am LIVID. I was NEVER told of this side effect. In fact, I was told I’d likely have ED but orgasm would still be possible. Which is an outright lie. Has anyone had the ability to orgasm return after discontinuing ADT or

Sclerosis due to cancer or treatment?
I recently developed sclerosis in my left hip area...painful to sit on a hard surface. PSMA tech wrote 'sclerosis developed consistent with treatment'. Oncologist seems unconcerned. I've read that sclerosis can sometime happen when ADT reduces tumor size, which means the bone has to adjust. The recent

2nd pBAT cycle results: AR upregulation? Double strand breaks? Darolutamide?
Started 2nd pBAT cycle on 4-22-24 with a PSA of 0.62 measured 2 days earlier. All 6 injections were 50 mg eod of T propionate with .625 mg letrozole every 5th day as an aromatase inhibitor. The hiT cycle was cut short by 2 injections because of a plan to SBRT treat a pelvic lymph node chain that lit
