hydroxycarbamide v Anagrelide
hi I’ve been on Hydroxycarbamide for nearly a year and for the past two months have had mouth
ulcers
. I drink plenty of water. Appointment with Pharmacist and she said I may be better with Anagrelide, but she would arrange an appointment with Haematologist before changing.

What is your experience with oral thrush and nystatin?
I’m experiencing a bad taste in my mouth that’s affecting my taste of food and sometimes feeling like there’s a lump in my throat when swallowing. . My GP looked in my mouth and said “you may have thrush”. She prescribed Nystatin. I don’t have the white plaques that bleed, etc., just

Discontinuing hydroxychloroquine (or not)
I find I am tired all the time, more sun sensitive than ever, and frequently get oral
ulcers
. I'm not sure whether to risk more eye damage by returning to hydroxychloroquine or to risk more lupus damage without it. My physicians say the choice is mine.

ET, hydrea and feeling fatigued and depressed
I ended up in hospital and they discovered two bleeding
ulcers
. I lost a significant amount of blood. A couple of months later my haemotologist said I lost so much blood she decided to give me two full iron infusions two weeks apart.

Does anyone else have stomach issues with Behcet's?
Symptoms may respond to irritable bowel syndrome treatments or, when
ulcers
are present, by treatment with immunosuppressive drugs." I was surprised because I hadn't attributed my bloating & indigestion ("similar to IBS") as having to do with my Behcet's.

HELP, PLEASE??!!
For 3 years now buprenorphine has helped, but today I took hydromorphone for pain that my surgeon prescribed, Nexium that my family doctor recommended to take to keep the aspirin I have to take postop to keep from getting
ulcers
, and cyclobenzaprine.

Gastric source of angina symptoms
I very recently had an endoscope to the stomach which detected a smallish hiatal hernia and few
ulcers
. So I now suspect that the root of my symptoms may be gastric rather than cardiac. Burping instantly relieves any symptoms! I'm taking lansoprazole along with all the usual cardiac drugs.

PS - I'm beginning to wonder if the burning sensation is actually angina as I have a hiatal hernia and a very recent endoscopy detected a few stomach
ulcers

Feeling unlistened to.
I’ve also had some symtoms that I worry about, I’ve had sharp chest pain that goes to my shoulders which is only short lived and I’ve had broken blood vessels around my ankles and I suffer with sore
ulcers
from time to time when I am run down.

Struggling to manage work with Lupus
In the last few days, I noticed that my body came up with new rashes and
ulcers
which hasn't happened for a long time. I am very scared about telling my employer and that it probably means I would lost the job. In the meanwhile, I'm uncertain how long I could last like this.

Mouth ulcers and hydroxy
Since being on hydroxy, I’ve had
ulcers
in my mouth and with mouthwash prescribed by haematologist, they disappeared quickly. Last week, I had a blocked salivary gland, not for the first time and nothing to do with hydroxycarbamide because I had this much before diagnosed with MPN.

PA in a child?
My almost 6 year old daughter has been suffering with mouth
ulcers
for the past 6 months and I’m just wondering if she might have PA? I was diagnosed at 23 (now 40). My sister, brother and nephew (14) have recently tested positive for intrinsic factor antibodies.

Any idea what is going on?
I'm not diagnosed but I have had tests done (2 colonoscopies which showed no inflammation but 1 colonoscopy showed
ulcers
in the terminal ileum but the biopsies were normal). A CT scan showed chronic active inflammation in my terminal ileum and caecum.
