I don’t understand!
On Friday jim was in the hospital for his 3 month internal stent replacement. Blood work all within normal range. It seems like in the last few months he was using the catheter less and less and doing so much better. No urinary tract infections any more., but a few days before the surgery he had terrible

Undetectable!!
Well, that pesky lymph node is now no longer PSMA detectable. After 1 year of Lupron, and Zytiga. So, now Im looking at 2 more years of Lupron (FML), and 1 more year of Zytiga. MO and RO both said to follow STAMPEDE trial. I want to follow SSPORT trial!! Odd thing, my Testosterone yesterday was 4

Questions about protocol changes regarding ADT from 2nd opinion.
I was diagnosed with PC about 2 months ago. I received a 2nd opinion from John's Hopkins today and all cores had a different (slightly lower) Gleason scores than my local testing gave. However I do have the evidence of adenocarcinoma in the prostate and am starting on this road through RT (with an OAR

How long to Castrate Resistance: ADT+/- ARSI
Further discussion on details of EMBARK study on another HU forum bears restating here (IMO). For high risk BCR (and beyond) ADT combined with ARSI (in this case enzalutamide) is clearly superior to either monotherapy. However, development of castrate resistance between ADT + Enza vs. Enz monotherapy

Any difference between 6 month lupron or 6 month elegard injection?
Hi, I’m currently on 3 month lupron injection and doing well with PSA of >0.01 and asked my doctor if there is a 6 month injection. I’ve asked twice and twice he sent a prescription for Elegard instead of Lupron. Should I stay on Lupron? Is there any difference between the two?

ATM gene mutation
I just received results from genetic testing that I have a ATM gene mutation. I am currently not on any meds and my last PSMA pet scan was negation. I am scheduled for a follow up PSA test mid march based on rising PSA after 5 years undetectable. Based on the ATM finding will this change any future therapy

4.7 PSA
Had my levels tested a year ago which was 3.2 and just last week they were tested again which shows 4.7. Considering my age my consultant thinks it's just inflammation but has ordered a MRI to have it checked. Is 4.7 any reason to be concerned?

My decision on Radiotherapy -v- Prostatectomy
I hope this story might be useful to others. I'm based in the UK and had a PSA of 12.7 from a test in June 2023. That led to an MRI in August with a PI-RADS of 5 with irregularity on the front of the prostate. I eventually had a biopsy at the end of September after 3 cancellations (this was through the

High-Dose Vitamin B1 / Thiamine and Fat Soluble Benfotiamine Form
I am reposting a reply to the Vitamin B1 thread as I noticed a search on HealthUnlocked for Benfotiamine doesn't list the thread for Vitamin B1 and the information I posted doesn't fit in one reply. I'm not giving medical advice but I know a lot of people here are open to trying things and watch if

Which Treatment for These Biopsy Results?
I now have my biopsy results Gleason 3 + 4 ie 90% of 3 and 10% of 4 Grade 2 The consultant said it was Intermediate but at one point used the term Low intermediate. Is this latter term valid given the stats? T2a NO MO - but I am puzzled about this because although it was mostly all on the left side

PSA testing - time taken to separate serum
Dear AllJust wondering if there are members who can advise on if there are defined standards on how long can PSA blood samples remain within whole blood samples before they reach the end of their shelf life? I will explain that the NHS in UK have set a standard of a max time of 16 hours between the sample

had 4 treatments of Pluvicto is not dropping PSA
My Husband has had 4 treatments of Pluvicto 6 weeks apart. The first treatment dropped my PSA by over 100 points; however, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th PSA climbed rapidly. My question is, Should he continue the treatment if it is not working for him?? Thank you, Concerned wife.

What is the next step
I have one more Immunotherapy for my bladder cancer, so far all scan have shown no metastasis. Now I need to focus on my PC after more than a year of ignoring it. My PSA has been fluctuating and is now 0.65, doubling time is 16 months, I have not had ADT yet and my MO wants to just wait and watch. What

Bloating tips
Does anyone have any tips for bloating? Happens with any meal- doesn't matter what I eat or drink? I'm 31, have 2 fibroids, had 2 prostap injections which showed the fibroids slightly shrunk but now have suspected PCOS. I have a constant bloated stomach - I've seen loads online about rheal superfoods

CDK 12 mutation and Immunotherapy
Hi All, My PSA as is starting to rise on Arbi/Dexa. I have the CDK12 mutation which is apparently known to be a drug target or to predict sensitivity to Atezolizumab (Tecentriq PD-1 Checkpoint Inhibitor), hence there is open Immunotherapy trial called BoB (NCT03767075). I meet the trial doctor next

Erectile dysfunction
Hi My first post, I think it is pretty obvious that many of us, me included, associate our self worth, status with our 'masculinity'. This may or may not be a good thing, but many, most men in fact consider themselves to be profoundly binary. They represent the '1' to a feminine '0'. When a man fails
