Relationship between Ramipril and cluster migraine
Have suffered from severe migraine for over 50 yrs and taken sumatriptan for at least 40 years. Approximately 30 years ago was prescribed bendroflumethiazide and lisinopril for high blood pressure. 18 months ago those medications stopped and was prescribed only Ramipril 2.5. ADT + SBRT + IMRT treatment for Unfavorable Intermediate Risk PCa
Tall_Allen, This is a follow up to a previous threat I started regarding my path to treatment. I followed your prompt to talk to Dr. Gottschalk at UCSF, and I’m glad I did. Our conversation did change things. He recommends SBRT/IMRT & 4 months ADT! He will do SBRT, and IMRT will be done by Dr. Valicenti

Cholesterol much too low - help!
Hi there! I understand most of you have high cholesterol. I had a blood test today for my work. Everything fine except for extremely low cholesterol. Thing is, they said that low cholesterol doesn't matter, but now I've looked on Google, and there's lots of research saying low cholesterol can be a marker

Proton Radiation to Thoracic Vertebra
I seem to have a recurrence after 2006 seeds and IMRT. After an Axumin scan, rhPSMA scan, and whole-body mpMRI, the only spot found is on the left pedicle (a small bone off the back of the vertebra) of the T8 vertebra. I am completely asymptomatic. My RO does both SBRT and Proton. I told him I felt the

Considering HDR Brachy, any recommendations for doctors in the San Francisco Bay Area?
Met with one Dr. who recommended one day HDR Brachy and 5 weeks IMRT. Hearing CarverD's positive experience and noting slightly higher cure rates than EBRT, I want to take a closer look at this option. Any recommendations for doctors who specialize in this located in the San Francisco Bay Area?

Anti-arrhythmic drugs after ablation
I have had 3 ablations. Ten months post third ablation, I tried to stop, cold turkey, Propafenone 300mg x 2. I lasted 6 days before going back into AF for 4 1/2 hours. Recently at one year and ten months, I tried to wean (not cold turkey this time) myself off now a lower dose, Propafenone 150 x 2

Trying to decide if I will continue ADT after 9 months.
Haven’t posted for some time so I’ll start from the beginning. Had PSA of 6.09 May of 2018. Rose to 8.93 May of 2019. Had biopsy which showed 3+3 Gleason grade group 1 in 8 of 12 cores, no evidence of lymph or seminal invasion. Perineural invasion noted. Did active surveillance until May 2020. PSA at

I'm new here, High Decipher Score still good for SBRT
Hi, appreciate all the info here. This is my initial post, I'm 64, biopsy in Feb. 2021 shows 5 of 12 cores with PC, 3 with Gleason 6 and 2 with Gleason 7 (3+4). PSA is 5.7, up from 4.6 last year. My Urologist said it looks confined in prostate based on MRI and he considers it intermediate risk.

Stopping Xtandi due to Neuropathy
My profile shows my detailed history. Diagnosed 2/2020 aPCA, mets on pelvis bone and one lymph node, I’ve been on Eligard and Xtandi since then. I developed numbness in toes a month or so after starting my treatment. I had read Xtandi can cause the numbness so wasn’t concerned since it was mild. In the

Statin or not??
I'm going to be 50 years old later this year(!) - I'm 5"10' and just under 10 stone (62kg). I gave up smoking 10 years ago and although I'm not an athlete I do keep quite active as I have 2 young kids. My diet is reasonably healthy - porridge every morning and recommended amounts of fruit and veg throughout

Not seeing dramatic improvement in numbers
I’ve been on blood pressure meds now for almost 3 weeks. During that time my meds have been tweaked 3x. Started off on Losartan 50mg, then Losartan 100mg and now Losartan 100mg HCTZ (a combo pill that includes a diuretic). I’m pleased that I don’t feel any side effects yet (hopefully won’t), and there
