fainting every time I’m ill
Last spring I had a
tooth
extraction
and same again fainted and actually had a seizure this time too. All I get told is ‘some people are more prone to fainting’ and maybe that’s right but I’m desperately looking for another option so thinking maybe it’s linked to my thyroid somehow?

Dental work and alendronate
I need a
tooth
extraction
after a
tooth
has completely collapsed and became infected. The dentist has tried root canal treatment with the hope of adding a crown but it is still infected in the gum and he says it must come out due to a sepsis risk.

Earlier I wrote a long post about my experience with osteonecrosis of the jaw as a consequence of a
tooth
extraction
after receiving Xgeva injections to shore up my crumbling vertebrae, themselves made fragile by radiation to PC mets.

Update: Tooth Extraction delayed because of risks while on Alendronic Acid
my dentist now informs me that having digitised my tooth X-ray and reconsidered, it could be saved with root canal treatment by a specialist, cost £800 to £1000, starting with a consult of £100. Alternatively I could proceed with extraction, however he will not do it, he would refer me to an NHS hospital

Anxiety is heightened when worried about our pets.
Wee Yonnie has to go into the vets next Monday for
tooth
extraction
and dental clean and assessment under General anesthetic, and she is now an elderly lady and i'm worried sick. Only pet lovers can understand the anguish we go through when our pets are poorly.

Tooth extraction and ectopics
Unfortunately had to get a
tooth
extraction
today. One of my molars suffered from gum recession and was painful. Anyway after the removal I’ve been getting loads of ectopics and normally they are well controlled. Sometimes get two or three in a day but not always.

Tooth Extraction
The British Dental Society guidelines say no need to stop (this is a relatively easy
extraction
of a
tooth
with a very shallow root). I’m trying to link them with my anti coag clinic, but not getting there yet. Does anyone have any experience of managing dental work?

Recently diagnosed and have questions
Also, I had to have a
tooth
extraction
. I've now reluctantly started the alendronic acid but I have one major problem: I hate water. It makes me gag. It's recommended to drink a full glass of water, but I can only manage a few swallows before retching which isn't good for my reflux!

More Challenges to Overcome!
It's more likely to be a coincidence, but feels like everything was thrown out of kilter again after my
tooth
extraction
! It takes such a lot of effort to keep things stabilised, but just one tiny thing can turn it all into chaos again!

Tooth extraction
Hi I have to have a tooth removed in the 17th of this month. I have just spoken to my consultant who wants me to stop my maintenance treatment for 5 weeks. Is this normal and has anyone else had this. Prayers and hugs to everyone ❤️

Fosamax
Need
tooth
extraction
and need to stay off Fosamax. I’m getting different opinions as to how long to stay off. Endocrinologist says 3-4 weeks is enough time. Oral surgeon and others say 3-4 months pre and post surgery. Has anyone faced this issue? Thanks.

Have been dealing with GCA and PMR for nearly 5 years…up and down with varying degrees of success! Am down to 4 mgs of Prednisolone and it looks like I may need a tooth extraction.I am sure this has been answered many times but , just to remind me, what is the protocol concerning medication? I am on
