I have AIH and need a back tooth extracted. Has anyone with AIH had this done and did it have to be in hospital ?

I have AIH and have had to have a few extractions. All were done at the dentist and were fine. My GP gave permission for short term use of ibuprofen but only needed paracetamol.

Don’t worry about tooth extraction !

I am 77 years old with AIH diagnosed in 2018.

I had 2 broken upper back teeth removed at Ipswich Hospital with no problems, You may need antibiotic cover and paracetamol for a few days but no other issues.

Hospital Dentists are Specialists at tooth extraction.

You’ll be fine !

I need this done but my dentist won’t touch me as my platlets are too low and I’m too high risk, she has had to refer me to hospital at maxofacial but the waiting list is HUGE and I’m in so much pain pain and all thier answer is take paracetamol and ibrufren which I told them I can’t take literally like banging my head against a brick wall!
