Nebuliser
My consultant has recommended saline through a nebuliser, this I have had to buy, approx. £50, and is just like breathing in cold fog!! I can't see how this helps lung problems, any ideas?

I AM ALRIGHT TODAY
There is always someone worse off than yourself but it does not make anything easier for you thinking about that. Without feeling sorry for yourself this COPD stage 4 certainly wears you right down, I guess that's what its meant to do. Been in hospital 7 times this year with infections, pleurisy & more

Still can't exhale
I have just about taking every test under the sun in dealing with my inability to exhale/breathe the CT scans and X-rays, PFT's, Spirometry test etc... show normal lungs no asthma, COPD, bronchitis, emphysema etc... my GP and gastrointestinal Doctors seem to think it's a side effect of my hep C Cirrhosis

Hospital admission.
So I have had a few bad attacks in the last week requiring ambulances and gp appointments. However, after a scary ambualnce ride i was admitted to hospital. I'm still a bit emotional about it all 🙁. I remember calling an ambulance and feeling like I might not make it. I had a silent chest when they

Terrified
I've had asthma for about 5 years now and was doing really well only ever had one attack which was brought on by a chest infection. This all changed about 3 weeks ago when I had my first hospital admission for asthma attack and had to stay in hospital for 3 days on nebulisers and steroids. I was discharged

Very frightening experience
Hi, I am a 38 year old woman with no previous asthma/allergies/hayfever anything. I had a cold that left me with a cough that I couldn't shift. Long story of Drs trips etc later I had to call an ambulance and went to hospital where I had an attack for 14 hours - that time I came round to a good cough

Breathing problems
If anyone is able to answer this I'd be grateful - my sister has just called me from where dad is in respite. She's just arrived and found him with the nurses, he's on the toilet with the nebuliser on, and they think he's having a panic attack. His breathing has been awful for the last week, he had an
