Nebuliser

It's me again, just came out of hospital yet again after a 10 day stay. Since February I've been in and out so many times Ive lost count.

I have now been loaned by the hospital a nebuliser Medix AC 4000 and got the prescription for the drugs to go in it. Saw my consultant Monday and he said hospital don't supply nebuliser you have to buy your own. I have the prescription for the Ventolin and Ipratropium. Can anyone advise weather this type is a old model one and is there a newer version out there before I buy one.

Thank you all xxx

I bought two of my nebulisers from evergreen.....if you ring or email they will advise you on which is best for your needs.

My local pharmacy also sells nebulisers at a reduced price, maybe yours does.

I did have one on loan years ago from the hospital, but I needed a more portable one rather than the mains only that they gave me.

Best wishes

My nebulizer was supplied by the NHS 3 years ago and replace it every year when it needs servicing. I have never been told I have to buy my own.

Hi hallentine47 thank you for your reply. Where I live in Northampton they don't supply the nebulisers apparently and even the consultant I saw looked up on the internet to show me which type I needed to purchase.

They supply the drugs to go into the nebuliser but not the actual machine. I will check again at our hospital and see if I get a different answer. Thank you for your help tho and hope you are keeping well 😀
