Results back need advice please
Hi all, hope you can help me. I have just received my results back from Medichecks and need some advice please. I do not seems to be having any health issues except for hair shredding. I realise that my ferritin and Vit D are low and could be a contributor for hair loss. My TPA antibodies are sky high

Do I need T3?
Hi everyone, I’m feeling confused and after some advice. I went to see an NHS endocrinologist in January who took me off T3. He is the third NHS endo who has insisted I don’t need it. I was previously put on it by two separate (private) functional nutritionists because tests have showed that I don’t

Medicheck results - am I a poor converter?
Hello there, I had a Medicheck thyroid test as my GP says I'm well within range on my TSH 1.29 (0.3 - 4.2), the only test he ordered to check if 100mg of Levo was right for me. I had asked for FT4 and FT3 but they weren't done, surprise. My Medicheck results are TSH 0.805 (0.27 - 4.2) FT4 19

IM IN A STATE OF CONFUSION! I desperately need help to understand and actions to take following recent blood results.
My GP reduced my levo thyroxine from 100mcg to 75mcg, at beginning of March, as my TSH was 0.13 (0.27-4.2)..... T4 was21.1 (12-22) T3 was 4.9 (3.1-6.8) Of course he thinks that TSH is the most important reading , 😡 and I hadn’t the energy to dispute it . Was supposed to be retested in 6 weeks but

Stomach upsets--- connected with cirrhosis?
I don't know if this is connected with my cirrhosis (non-alcohol related, and compensated at present) but I am getting frequent spells (4 or 5 bouts bouts a month) of stomach upsets-- (sorry for details) diarrhoea, foul smelling wind etc, no vomiting), I am treating it with activated charcoal capsules

Inj. Hertraz insurance cover
Hi Everyone, This is regarding insurance cover for Trastuzumab(Hertraz Inj.). The cashless claim for this was rejected recently for 2nd cycle claiming it was not payable by UHC TPA, while the same was approved for the 1st cycle. I don't know why they rejected it for 2nd cycle. I have applied for reimbursement

Sons thyroid results
Hi, My son (18) has just had a full thyroid check with Medicheck. We did this because he is often very tired and I have Hashimotos (and my mother had Lupus, so AI in the family). I thought he may have it too. His results are: CRP HS 0.14 (0-5) Ferritin 192 (30-400) Folate serum 6.03 (3.89-19.45)

Newbie/ Medichecks results
Hi, As a newbie to all of this I’d really appreciate some help and advice. A few weeks ago I went to see my GP because I was feeling exhausted. I’ve been many times over the years, and looking back, my visits have been around tiredness (mostly), feeling like there’s a lump in my throat when swallowing

Little IBS Update - Help with Excess Gas?
Hey guys! Many thanks if you replied to my long post regarding my symptoms the other day. Since then I've confronted my anxiety side of things, trying not to think about things too much and to just be as active as possible and there's definitely a link. When I'm on the go and thinking about other things

Saving the lives of stroke victims by streamlining workflow
Until then, the main emergency treatment available was a drug, tPA (
tissue
plasminogen
activator
), “which goes into the brain and tries to melt or bust the clot in the blood vessel,” Golan explains.
