Numb Thigh After Heart Bypass
Hi All, Bit odd this but after undergoing a double CABG a month ago I have noticed that my right thigh is partially numb with a reduced ability to feel anything (very similar to the left side of my chest which I was expecting). I didn't have any blood vessels harvested from my legs so it's not due to

Circumcision update
Hi. Just an update on my previous posts, for those who may be interested. I’m now 20 weeks post circumcision and I still can’t pee standing up, have had no sexual experiences whatever because of the pain, suffer extremely painful erections, which are three inches shorter than normal, and ‘am in daily

Fast heartbeat after triple CABG
I seem to be experiencing a really powerful fast heartbeat, I'm one week on from a triple bypass last Monday and was sent home Friday. I can't seem to slow it down, my booklet says if it lasts more than 2 hours then see my GP. Is this normal? I'm terrified it's not going to stop? Advice on how to slow

Coping with Trauma
Hello, I've joined this group in the hope that I may get some support from others that are living with disfigurement. In November I was attacked by my best friends dog a German shepherd. I guess I should be thankful I'm still here but I can't cope with my injuries. I now have facial scaring, a head injury

Advice on medichecks results.
Hi all, my latest results have arrived. I've been on 75mcg for over 1 year now as my GP wouldn't increase the dosage, even when I complained of a lot of symptoms. My last results in June 2019 were: TSH 1.58mu/L 0.35-5 (GP doesn't do anything else) Latest from Medichecks (early morning, fasting and took

Angina post CABG
So, following a CABG 3.5 years ago to resolve a blocked Circumflex, I still seemed to have angina afterwards. I was recently directed back to the Chest Clinic at the local hospital as I felt like my angina had become more frequent. I saw a Cardiologist who, having looked at my history and the resting

8-year-old Charlie raises £1000s for other people with a visible difference
When Charlie was 8 years old he was in a car crash which resulted in serious facial scarring. Since then, he's raised thousands of pounds for other people with a visible difference. This is his story. My name is Kimberley. I’m writing on behalf of my son Charlie, who’s 8 years old. On 30 September

Hello, I'm new here...
Hi there, I'm a 59 year old who has had a little chest replumbing (2x CABG and a titanium aortic valve). In November I had my annual cardiac review and my consultant was less than impressed by my 100 kg weight even though I walk about 6 km a day. We agreed that I should lose some weight and have a crack

Not such a good end to the day fiancé CABG yesterday
Fiancé was doing so well after his CABG yesterday. He ate his breakfast by himself, was assisted out of bed and sat in chair and was looking pretty good. Then this afternoon his heart went into atrial fibrillation with no warning and they’ve really struggled to correct it. Now it’s swinging between

Coronary artery bypass graft.
I had a quad heart bypass on Christmas Eve 2019 at Basildon Hospital, Essex...writing this exactly 1 month after, feeling good after terrible back/shoulder pain for the first 3 weeks...now sleeping better. Saw the cardiac nurse today and she stressed that it is quite a journey back to total fitness so

Costochondritis: have many of you been diagnosed with this a year or two after CABG?
Just been given diagnosis of this - Costochondritis - after an ECG and review by good Doctor. I had some increase in general chest pain for 2-3 weeks, and various other aches and pains. My concern was the pain was a sign of circulation issues but have been reassured this is non Cardiac but just a consequence

Melanoma
I haven’t been around for a while as I’ve had some pretty devastating news. I have been diagnosed with a stage 3 melanoma. I haven’t had it too long but I did previously have it looked at by both my GP and the dermatology dept at the hospital who both said it was just a cyst. I have to have a further
