Need help with a petition to have Tirosint available in UK!
I know
tirosint
is easily obtainable in the USA, Canada and Mexico. I had discussed with other members; who would like to figure out on tirosint’s availability in the UK. There are a few million in my country, the US, getting it prescribed now.

YABTKi or Yet Another BTK inhibitor - the A to Z list of Bruton's Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors for CLL following Ibrutinib's success
I'll admit that YABTKi is not a recognised CLL related acronym, (acronym lists are here https://healthunlocked.com/cllsupport/posts/private/134932756/cll-abbreviations-in-one-post ), but perhaps it should be! I've attempted in this post to keep tabs on the growing list of BTK inhibitor (BTKi) drugs

Tirosint+T3+beta blockers.
Recently my endo added 5mg Nebilet(beta-blockers) to my regular morning thyroid hormones(125mcgT4/10mcgT3) due to high blood pressure (160/87 and 90-100pulse). He saw me in the morning (about 10am) and take my bp and he told me, is high. So, or I give up to take t3 or have to take beta-blk. I asked him

REVEALED: UK Athletics chiefs' held mystery meeting on controversial use of thyroid medication in 2014
This post is just of general interest and does not have much relevance to our day to day thyroid issues. Sorry to quote this paper but I couldn't readily find another source of the story.

Does L-Tyrosine also cause augmentation
I have recently come off an OTC L-Dopa supplement because it was causing augmentation. I'm trying to get my dopamine levels to restore naturally and am wondering whether I should take L-Tyrosine (which is the amino acid building block for L-Dopa, found in eggs, cheese, meat, etc). I would be doing so

Reducing T3 are these results normal?
I have been taking T3 since the beginning of the year and was doing great but my insulin sensitivity went downhill badly and I realised it coincided with being on T3 (which other people have experienced) . Due to other dietary and health changes I was hopeful I could get my thyroid to function again

CALQUENCE gets FDA approval for treating CLL
The latest approval for Calquence (acalabrutinib), a Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor, was granted under the FDA’s Real-Time Oncology Review and newly established Project Orbis programs. Calquence binds covalently to BTK, thereby inhibiting its activity. In B-cells, BTK signaling results in activation

Tirosint-caps vs. Tirosint-sol
Hello, I wonder if there is any difference between the two products at the same dose. Maybe someone used it and you can tell me, just curious...

NDT taken together with L-tyrosine made me much worse. Any ideas why please?
Hi All I am hypo with TSH at 3.74 (0.22-4.20) and TGO antibodies at 274 (<115) My main symptom is muscle aches, mainly of the vastus medialis - I am a keen cyclist. I have been taking 1NDT before breakfast and 500mg L-tyrosine 2 hours before bedtime - both on an empty stomach, for 3 weeks now. And I

Hashimoto's - med decrease and feeling awful
My lab results were: TSH: 0.19 (.45-4.5) T4: 1.3 (0.82-1.77) T3: 3.3 (2-4.4) Before labs were taken, I was taking 88mcg of
Tirosint
(liquid t4) at 10pm. I also took 5mcg of liothyronine (t3) at 6:30am and 2.5mcg at 1pm.

PJP prophylaxis may be unnecessary for CLL patients on BTK inhibitors
From a report from the recent Edinburgh iWCLL 2019, "Routine empiric prophylaxis against pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia (PJP) may be unwarranted in chronic lymphocytic leukemia patients initiating Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor therapy, a retrospective chart review suggests." Dr. Ryan

Blood work before of after tirosint-what’s the difference?
Hello everyone, I need your advice. My doctor in the USA said that it doesn’t matter when you do the blood test and that it can be done after daily thyroid medication. I had TT and was told by the doctor in Greece to do the blood work before the medication, so not sure if there is a difference.

Switching from Levo + T3 to NDT
I’ve been on 50 to 60 mg of Levo, (
Tirosint
), and 6 mg of T3. Although for the 1st time in years my TSH was in upper range of normal, FT3 and FT4 were low. Anyhow I’m still feeling miserable. I’m thinking to start with ¼ grain of NDT at usual time and cut out all else.
