Anyone experience acid reflux from cytomel ? Been on 5mcg added to Tirosint 50mcg and have had terrible heart burn. It isn't on the list of sides, doc said he hasn't heard of this. Probably due to something else ...

When i lowered my synthetic T4 and added cytomel, I experienced many side effects. Headaches, stomachaches, constant hunger pangs. The T3 did not work and my body did not use it. Only when i switched to desiccated was when i was able to have a normal life.

That's interesting as I have similar sides. Headache and hungry for sure. I did try Armour but became over medicated on only 75mg up from 60. Took months for my thyroid to calm down from that. Now on 50mcg Tirosint and 5mcg cytomel, not enough.. Doc thinks NDT's are unsafe as the dosage can be off although most people I've talked to seem to do just fine. Every body is different..

Do you still have thyroid gland? If so, it might be producing the hormones. I lost my thyroid gland to cancer.

I have half. Had a golf ball size tumor that wasn't cancer so yes I do produce some hormones
