Switching from Levo + T3 to NDT

Hi Everyone, My long awaited NDT has finally arrived! Can’t reach my (friendly) endo for a while, and I want to start tomorrow.

I’ve been on 50 to 60 mg of Levo, (Tirosint), and 6 mg of T3. Although for the 1st time in years my TSH was in upper range of normal, FT3 and FT4 were low. Anyhow I’m still feeling miserable.

I’m thinking to start with ¼ grain of NDT at usual time and cut out all else.

I switched from 100mg of Levo straight across to 1 grain of NDT and slowly increased over the next year and have been stable on 2.5 grains daily for the last three years. I feel really well.

Wow! Thanks, Genileris, that's encouraging One question: how long did it take you to start feeling well? (pretty desperate here)

About six months to feel like my old self. Also lost about 6 kilos as I started to settle in with NDT. Also ditched all grains and dairy as the NDT isn’t really compatible with some foods.
