VITAMIN A REPAIRING AVEOLI
Why is it that we read of success they've had with lab animals using retinoic acid (a derivative of vitamin A) in repairing alveoli and then they tell us NOT to eat carrots or drink carrot juice while they (researchers) conduct 35 more years of "research"?

Adderall not working like it use to
Recently diagnosed from the VA for ADHD which I knew I've had for a long time. I started with adderall a few months ago. Started with 10mg 2x a day, then went to 15mg 2x, then 20mg 2x and now I'm at 30mg 2x a day and I feel like I've built up such a tolerance to it so fast that it isn't working like

Small sores that will not go!
Just want some advice please. It’s my third month on Ibrutinib and all going really well. However, I have a few small sores on my hands, one on my nose and one on a buttock that just will not heal up. Saw a GP on Friday, never met anyone so bored by what I was saying 😠 and he prescribed Fusidic Acid

Beginner's questions...
Hello! I am a 67 year old woman, still working as a freelancer – although increasingly reduced work load, a very sedentary job. I had a medical referral to the gym and for past year was going 3 times a week (normally!) to strengthen my muscles for my arthritic knees (which were much improved). Back

Zoledronic acid infusion
I'm having my first zoledronic acid infusion next Friday and I have no idea what to expect. For instance where does it usually go in and how long does it take? Anything else it would be useful to know? Thanks in advance Louise

I was so scared of taking Paclitaxol chemo, but it has been ok.
Hello, I had a mastectomy in April this year with additional removal of 6 lymph nodes. One aggregate deposit of .5, so my surgeon sent me to an oncologist for “possible radiotherapy and hormone treatment.” I am Triple Negative grade 3 stage 3. You cannot imagine the shock when she laid out her plans

IBS basics for beginners
Dear all, I have recently been suffering from excess burping and stomach pains for which I became dependent on Nexium for a couple of weeks. I have recently found that this is due mainly to changing from almond milk to lactose free milk, and also because I have been drinking a lot of decaff tea and

Awaiting diagnosis
Hi everyone I'm hoping you can help. I first got symptoms when I was 14, told it may be endometriosis in late 20s/early 30s but when pain reduced on pill back-to-back told it wasn't and discharged. I've now had to come off the pill due to high risk as I'm 42 and the pain is back with a vengeance. My

A plan comes together.
After a positive report at my appointment at the Oncologist Clinic, in the middle of August 2019, I decided to take a further leap of faith and go back to The Broads to sneak in another week. My thoughts are to take my son with us this time, I try to treat my 2 children

Living life to the full
Hi Somewhere, I had a cardiac arrest in 2011, spent 4 weeks in a coma in ICU, finally decided to wake up and breathe for myself .... and haven't looked back since! All true, except for the last bit. The question 'why me?' is still something I ask myself. I answer myself by thinking that I was exceptionally

Rapid taper before adrenals shut down
I also subscribe to a pmr forum on Facebook. The following was on the site yesterday. The poster has recently been diagnosed and wants to taper to as low as possible before her adrenals shut down in three weeks. Have any of you heard of this approach? "I’m newly diagnosed and was helped tremendously

Is it endometriosis?
I started my period at 11 they’ve always been very heavy and very painful to point I’d be crying in pain. At 14 it got worse I’d be getting pains even when not on my period. I’d regularly be in a&e. So In the last year I’ve been to hospital maybe 4 times as no painkillers seem to help. I’ve been given
