Ongoing T4/T3 battle - latest results
I have read somewhere that as I have had a total
thyroidectomy
following cancer, TSH can be very unreliable as a measure. But I haven't seen much other information about this.

Avoiding osteoporosis after thyroidectomy for women
Interesting advice from the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons for women who have had
thyroidectomy
to continue to take a small calcium supplement if over 40 to avoid potential osteoporosis.

I had TT due to thyroid cancer on November 9th 2017. I been having really bad pains in my neck were my scar is. All the doctors and consultants have said it nerve damage and nerve pain. I feel like there is a stabbing pain sensation. My GP sent me to have an ultrasound last Friday. And I can't not believe

Bloods After Total Throidectomy
Hi, I recently had a total
thyroidectomy
. My endo has given my a form to have my TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Urea & electrolytes, Bone Profile And Vit D tested (first bloods since op). Has he missed anything? I’ve seen people mention Reverse T3?

Opinions please.
I had a partial
thyroidectomy
10 plus yrs ago. I was put straight on to Levo. My remaining thyroid was never given a chance to see if it was sufficient. For years I have gradually put on weight and never felt that Levo was working.

High heart rate post thyroidectomy
I am 4 days post total
thyroidectomy
. I had the op due to being hyperthyroid and being told I couldn’t stay on my medication (PTU) longterm. I also found out 2 days prior to op that I had a 2cm ‘borderline suspicious’ nodule.

Cardiovascular morbidity and mortality after treatment of hyperthyroidism with either radioactive iodine or thyroidectomy
The choice between
thyroidectomy
and radioactive iodine (RAI) to treat hyperthyroidism has long been controversial. (Mind, we must not ignore the possibility of remaining long-term on anti-thyroid medication.)

Getting a definite diagnosis and help
This testing was done in preparation for a
thyroidectomy
I had done in mid 2017. After the thyroid surgery I got a lung infection, despite all the precautions, and took anti biotics. I also took 4 week course of prednisilone before the surgery.

Help with B12 results please
Hi there, i had a total
thyroidectomy
in January for Graves’ disease. I’m on 100mcg Levothyroxine and feel tired all the time, memory problems, can’t think straight, numbness and tingly hand and arm, especially during the night. Could my B12 level be to blame?
