Total Thyroidectomy would like to try T3
Good afternoon all, I'm hoping someone can help me. I had a TT around 4 years ago and have been on Levothyroxine with my dose varying from 175mcg to 225mcg. Ever since I had the TT I've always felt tired and suffered from severe lethargy to the point that I now would like to try the T3 route. I've booked

I had a
thyroidectomy
done last year October. I feel very tired, I have gained some weight, could it be that I have an underactive thyroid? Must mention that i do have Conns syndrome aswell, so it might be that aswell? Thank you regards

Recovery after partial thyroidectomy
I had partial
thyroidectomy
nearly 4 weeks ago and would be grateful for any advise on their experiences of recovery as I'm really struggling with my voice which is very weak. People can't hear me if there is background noise & I can't talk any louder!

Thyroid/cortisol - any advice/help for self-treating appreciated
She referred my for
thyroidectomy
(I also thought this may be the only way of actually getting treatment/getting on the treatment bandwagon) but I moved so nothing happened. I have been referred to the general surgeon where I currently live and am waiting for an appt to discuss the
thyroidectomy
.

Post Total Thyroidectomy blood test results
I had my blood test results back, the Doctors surgery told me they were fine. Five days later I get a letter telling my free T4 is slightly high and TSH is low. What does this mean? The letter was also sent to my GP suggesting a deduction in my thyroxine, will this affect my weight? I'm trying to lose

Air bubble after drinking liquids.
So I had a partial
thyroidectomy
about 7 months ago. But for some reason every once in awhile I choke on liquids, and when I do this big air bubble blocks my air way and is nearly impossible to get out it seems.

GP can't test T3
Hi everyone, Just after a little advice...had total
thyroidectomy
in August and have been battling with getting the right thyroxine dosage. Settled at 150mcg's (even though GP thinks it's not quite right based on TSH at 0.1, i'm sticking with it), but am still having hypo symptoms.

Papillary Thyroid Cancer
Does anyone know what alternatives there are to a total
thyroidectomy
? That's what they want to give me. Is there anything I can do in the meantime? I'm just groping for answers. My sister has papillary carcinoma too which is why I got tested. total shocker!

Levothyroxine and RLS
Hello I had a partial
thyroidectomy
last year and so far have managed without drug treatments. However my current symptoms (even more tired than normal if that's possible, foggy brain, weight gain etc) indicate that it may no longer be functioning as effectively.

T3
I had a total
thyroidectomy
in 2002 and also a partial parathyroidectomy. I feel I need T3 to keep my thyroid levels from falling but nobody thinks of prescribing it. Is this reasonable?

Problem with partial thyroidectomy
My 87 yr old mother in law had partial
thyroidectomy
4 weeks ago for suspected cancer, she is still in hospital as she has lost her swallow and can only eat pureed food, & even then she sometimes chokes. She had NG tube fitted but went wrong and now refusing any sort of feed tube.

Thyroid eye disease
To be honest I had no idea that was possible post-
thyroidectomy
and thought it was just when eyes bulged. What I have is majorly dry eyes, they're very dry and bloodshot now. They've given me drops and a heated eye mask to use and massage eyes twice a day.
