Suppressed TSH on combined therapy
Is there data/medical papers I can give my doctor as to why T3 is suppressed on combination therapy? I have tried looking at the Nice guidelines but they all seem against using combination therapy. Thanks Sue

so the good news is that my bloods came back with lots of positives this time. My TPOAb has reduced to 57, after it was 178 in Feb. My TSH has woken up and is now in range! My vitamins are all in good order (thanks to supplements and advice from this forum). B12 has increased +200 since Feb! The only

"TSH of 5.21 does not warrant levo increase"
Just that. According to my GPs I am perfectly fine and my TSH is only barely out of range and doesn't need my medication to be increased 🤔 what even is the point of their stupid range if they're not even going to pay attention to it? Luckily I have a letter from the Endo stating they want my TSH below

Sorry for all the questions but you all have been so helpful. If your hypothyroidism is secondary shouldn't your medication be based on your free levels and not your tsh?

Feeling really low at the minute. Sorry this is a long one but just want to write it all down.
After Nstemi in March, I went back to work in April. Was feeling pretty good apart from a burning sensation in the chest area not quite every day. I am on the gold standard meds, apparently and the GP advised that my 3 months was up to and to stop clopidogrel on 14 June. Which I did. He increased my

Useless Endocrinology appointment
Hi everyone, So I had my Endocrinology appointment. She asked me if I took my dose of t3 before the test at 7am and I said no as she caught me off guard! She had slyly earlier in the appointment already asked me when I took my t3 dose (in the morning as one dose). Unfortunately the doctor is a TSH

I’ve been pretty rubbish with compliance of my levothyroxine up until 12 months ago when I made a concerted effort to take every day. Since then I have had significant health problems but normal TSH and free T4. My symptoms have been allergic in nature with angioedema of the airway, hives and joint pain

ERFA with added iodine
Hiya.I have recently sourced a batch of ERFA via a private pharmacy, but after reading the fine print on the bottle, I have noticed it also contains 0.2 % of iodine. I thought this would be counterproductive, as iodine supplementation is not recommended with hypothyroidism? I am now concerned about

Advice on my non-existent TSH Please
I had radio iodine treatment 5 years ago after having Graves. I am on 75 and 100 Levothyroxine on alternate days (a low dose I know). I was given additional T3 med lythothyronine 18 months ago, 5 mg twice daily which improved my quality of life no end. My thyroid levels have been fairly steady over

TSH higher after stopping Biotin
After decades of telling my doctor that I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism and being told everything was normal as TSH was between 2.8 and 4 [0.38 - 5.33], I discovered a few weeks back that the Biotin supplement that I have been taking for all of that time could have been interferring with the

Help with dosing ov Armour thyroid
Hello everyone, Currently on 112.5 mcg of Levo , split into two doses , and no thyroid, I am switching to Armour thyroid . I am apprehensive about dosages to start with, as I react very strongly to drugs. For example, taking Levo in one dose instead two, gives me headaches and migraine-like visual

My Endocrinology appointment review no help! and my 1300 tpo just a small blip quote from endocrinologist (see my previous post)
My endo didn’t say anything to help I don’t have hypothyroidism and told her how unwell I am basically she doesn’t know what’s refused to help me and said she will repeat test in a few weeks . She didn’t care about the results of private bloods they mean notching and tpo doesn’t mean autoimmune thyroiditis
